We went to Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade last year at Universal Orlando and were impressed with the level of detail. We are going back this summer. Does anybody know of books or websites that highlights all the details in the various shops? The books I have seen all have generalities about the Wizarding World but don't go into details.

Great question
Don't recall having this question before

I'll try to do a search if no one replies soon

The only thing I remember seeing was a DIS article on the 'hidden' (in plain sight) details overall that people might miss. Nothing on the shops, though.

I think there are blog posts around. For example, listing the detail paying tribute to Jaws. ( the ride that formerly occupied that place) There are a lot of little details that harken to the books.

It is this type of stuff I was wondering if anybody had collected it into a single website/book. I have found a few blogs that list like the 15 hidden secrets of Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which are really cool. But looking for one resource that collects all the info together more comprehensively.

Op I did find an old thread I posted in about hidden gems in the parks

This was prior to Potter days so did not link it here

OP might be correct. I have a hundred little things rolling around in my head that I have read on these forums for years, but they don't seem to be compiled.

The snake in the menagerie will talk to you when you are outside the shop window.
The mirror in quiditch supplies (or is it the school robe store) will comment on your clothes.
The monster book of monsters will scare patrons occasionally.
The owlry will mail out your letter post marked from Hogsmeade.
Many more are out there if you google hidden gems or the like.

I read Moaning Myrtle can be heard in one of the women bathroom. I also read that props from the movies are on display in one of the shops. Maybe my homework will be to try and compile all this, as there is a lot of info out there.
