Hey all,
These questions go out to those who either are very much are in the know about this subject or have experience with the fitting and sizes of the wizarding robes and cloaks they sell at the Universal parks.
You see, we have a trip planned for next year and I had my friend who has never seen any of the Harry Potter films to watch them all with me and when we were done, we both took the Sorting Hat quiz on Pottermore. So, because of that upcoming trip, I wanted to get my friend excited by getting a Potter-themed “care package” for my friend’s Christmas gift by ordering some things off of Universal Orlando’s online store!
What I’m not exactly sure of is the sizing to order things in! Some accessories and stuff seem to come in a “one size fits all” type of deal... but the wizarding robes seem to be sized from adult XS to adult XXLG. Does anybody know how these things fit in practice? Do they fit pretty accurately to shirt size or do the fit baggier/larger/smaller, etc.
Generally, I wear a 2XL shirt size and am around 6’2’’ in height... should I go for a XXLG or would that fit a bit oversized? My friend wears about a medium shirt size and he’s a shorter fella, not REALLY short, but a lot shorter than I am. Should I trust that he’ll fit a MD? Or should he be getting a size smaller or bigger?? I am hoping it just goes generally with what your shirt size is, but I want to be careful and certain before placing a bit expensive order for all this stuff...
Another side thing I wanted to confirm is if what I once heard about these robes is indeed factual... is it true that these cloaks have an interior pocket for storing your wand when you don’t wish to hold it? I know these things probably get brutal wearing around in the hot Florida sun, but believe it or not, that interior wand pocket sounds like such a selling feature tbh! The one thing that annoyed me about getting my wand was toting it around constantly and everywhere else in the park, on rides, etc. by hand throughout the day.
Any other info or tips are more than welcome! Thanks!!
