Non-Disney Online Games (Wizard 101) Quest Tips & Help Thread!

I had the same problem, but the Colossus was definately in the Hall of Champion (and marked as such on the map) when I did it. I also seem to remember fighting somebody in the unmarked (for me, at the present) room by Khai Amante the Great in the Grand Arena area and this might be it.

In any case, access to Krokosphinx Island will be needed to get to the Grand Arena area.

It is also used for the level 18 spell quest for Pyromancer. I just did it and it is indeed in the chamber you mentioned. Go to the Krokosphinx, through the Arena to the right and in the unmarked chamber at the end near Khai.

My daughter and I are still in the Krokotopia area. Just started the Grand Arena quests. She has actually stopped playing so I am playing both wizards for now. We are both level 21 but I (life) have 355 more health points that she does (storm).

I need to get her some better clothes. Is the shopping better in other worlds than it is in Krok? If so, is anyone willing to let me visit them so that I can do some shopping for her? Are the clothes only for a certain level and up?

I have her in the most hideous outfit right now but it gives her the most health. I'm sure her spells would fizzle less if she looked better. :rotfl:

That's right. My Ice Wizard did this last week. If this is the quest that gives
you the Ice Minion (Guardian) it's worth it. Not as tough/smart and my Cyclops minion, but better to have than none at all.

I remember being very greatful because ,while a fighter the Ice Wizard, is loaded with DEFENSIVE weapons. Ice Guardian does not protect, just fight.

But it takes 3 pips to launch him unlike a Cyclops/Troll which will launch with as little as 1 pip. (OK, at one pip he's a bit wimpy.):rolleyes1

EDIT:

This:

Helped me out a lot. I found it and finished the quest. Thanks Bob!

I finally made it to the Well of Spirits. I need help on the Tomb of the Beguiler. I already tried it with my two wizards. We finished the Serket spider. When we were in the second battle (can't remember what it was), we were just about done when another wizard showed up adding two more bad guys to the battle. After that he went through the teleporter and spoke to Jah'mes then disappeared. We got the message that Jah'mes' brothers (?) were held somewhere on that level. I looked at my quests and it still showed "talk to Jah'mes". He wouldn't talk to me! I was looking around for what to do next but kept getting pulled into battle. I had to leave because I was out of time and out of potion. I know I am going to have to start this all over again. Does anyone know what to do after this point?

Yeah, wait until much, much later to do this quest. :wizard:

All kidding aside: You don't need this quest to progress in the story. Like Sunken City in WC and Kensington in Marleybone, the Tomb of the Beguiler is an extremely challenging side quest. Fortunately, you can take it or leave it. I have a Myth wizard, for example, who has completed MooShu and yet he still hasn't done the Beguiler.

My Ice wizard, on the other hand, has -- and had a similar problem with talking to Jah'mes at one point. I was with several other wizards and they all got him to talk to him. Although I got the pop-up message, the task did not clear or advance in my spellbook. Eventually, I mapped out back to the Oasis, then teleported back to one of my friends in the Tomb. That seemed to fix things: I had the next task in my spellbook and was then able to finish the rest of the quest without further problems.

Anyone know where the link is to the is of what wands the bosses drop I am trying to find who drops the balance wand that is a sword that that give 90 hit and plus power pip. Thanks

Also we missed talking to Mossback in Mooshu is there anyway to get this side quest as we are finished in Mooshu now and Mossback will not talk to us. Thanks :)

Unfortunately Mossback MUST be done in order -you can go to the first Mossback and see if he will give you the quest again, otherwise, I think you may have to use the contact button on the main page to ask for support.

You should still be able to do these side quests, despite having finished the MooShu storyline. They are progressive and linked from one area to the next.

Start with the Mossback quests in the Cave of Solitude. Once those are complete, you can move on to his quests in Kishibe Village, Shirataki Temple and the Ancient Burial Grounds (in that order). After those are all done, you will meet a different earth elemental, Wavebringer, for the next set of quests in the Village of Sorrows. Once done there, you can go to the Tree of Life and get the final quests from Oakheart.

Upon finishing the whole series, Oakheart will ask you to meet him back at a dojo in the Jade Palace. WARNING! THIS PART OF THE QUEST IS BUGGED! Although you will receive the "Spirit Walker" badge, you will probably NOT receive the 2840 XP award. Since that is a substantial amount of XP, I would wait to cash in that quest until it is fixed.

Aengus, It does pay to have high pip spells for at least one other school. If you end up in Mooshu facing 7500 & 8000 HP enemies, and they happen to be the same school as you, you're in trouble! You need another school that you can hit hard with!:)

can anybody be my friend my name is mark lifebane and I'm level 10 life and balance wizard a very good combo.

Hi everyone I need some MAJOR help. I have decided to move my main school do myth. (I decided to move to myth because in ICE i find the spells do a lot less damage than the other schools it seems they are mainly focused on having a lot of health so they can survive with there lower damage spells) to do this I started a new character, Joshua MythCaster I am a level 6 I am currently doing TA (Trinton Avenue) FCA (Firecat Alley) and CB (Cyclops Boulevard) I could really use some help getting these done. I am not looking to get a wizard city staff i would just like to go to Krokotopia and get back to where I left off. I was a level 26 Ice Wizard (2 levels were earned in Moo Shu). I was just starting off the Tomb Of Storm.

I would greatly appreciate to help get back up to Krokotopia. I think I will just need maybe 3 people. Also can anyone give me any tips on getting at least 1,000 health by Krokotopia. I will appreciate ANY act of helping, even if you only help me accomplish one quest I really will be grateful. Please PM me if you are willing to help me. We can set up a time and date to meet up and add each other to our friend list.
If you want more health before krokotopia but some new clothes, shoe, hat, wand, ring, knife, and neckless.

Wow, I had missed those too. Thanks for the heads up and the warning! :wizard:

Woot I have quests to do!!

I would go to the areas in the order that you were given them and find Mossback in each area. Once you find the one you did not talk to (or complete) he should still have the quest for you. Finish the quest he gives you and then proceed on through the areas finding him each time.

OOPS! Should have gone to the next page on this thread before I answered.

Looks like they have quite an update planned. NOTE: Be sure to shop around those color combinations on the Zeke gear for gold... it makes a huge difference in price.

Wizard101 will encounter a downtime starting at 3:00am Central Friday October 31st, lasting approximately 3 hours (till 6am Central)
If all goes well, it will be up even sooner than that.

Below are the patch notes for this update! Enjoy!

Big Announcements!

New Tutorial!
Major changes have been made to the tutorial, including hearing Merle’s voice guiding you through your first spells – you may want to create an additional Wizard to see what adventures Merle has in store for his newest students.

Zeke’s Crowns Items can be Purchased with Gold
Zeke here! I’ve gone Spiral Wide!
I’m letting the local shopkeepers in each world sell my goods!

If you have crowns, you can buy items from me, and if you have gold, you can buy the same items at the regular shopkeepers .

Sometimes I get special holiday items in, and those items are not available from the shopkeepers, but you just might find the rare one on a boss creature!

Area Access Passes

Hey there Young Wizard! Not a subscriber? Still want to explore other areas of Wizard City and the worlds beyond? Well now you can!

While subscribers can access all areas and content of Wizard101, non-subscribers can now purchase Area Access Passes with Crowns. These Area Access Passes will allow players to enter areas that they’ve earned through advancement and questing, but were previously blocked from because they were not subscribers. Firecat Alley and Nightside are examples in Wizard City of these areas.

Each World on the Spiral will have new areas for you to explore. Simply walk up to any street you previously could not access without a subscription and follow the instructions to Buy an Access Pass with Crowns. Once you purchase an area, you won’t ever need to purchase it again on that account.

Don’t have any crowns? You can buy them easily at Wizard101.com.

Quest History
Your quest log has new arrows in it that manually allow you to cycle through a quest with multiple goals, such as Zeke’s Find the Smiths.

There is also a new icon on the quests you have received that will show you the history of that quest. See more below.

Click on the yellow quest question mark and a new panel will open. This panel allows you to see the conversations you’ve had leading up to and during the current quest!

Say Farewell to Spooky Bob and Friends

Hallowe’en is almost over, but Spooky Bob, Jack Hallow and all his brothers will be staying in Wizard City until November 7th. This gives you time to complete your Hallowe’en quests, purchase a Hallowe’en item, explore the Haunted Tower and enjoy all the decorations. Once Spooky Bob and friends have left town, any unfinished Hallowe’en quests will disappear from your Quest Log.

Hopefully we’ll see Spooky Bob back next Hallowe’en, or maybe even sooner!

Other Changes to Note
1. Pixie and Dark Pixie pets should no longer flash pink.
2. Marleybone: Chelsea Court – Your friends can now teleport to you while you are in Chelsea Court, in case you need some help!
3. The Quest Take it by Storm is now something you’ll have to complete on your own. This is now a gauntlet area, and no longer has instance sigils outside. Friends can still teleport to you to help out, but you must enter on your own.
4. Some people previously on your ignore list, may have to be re-ignored.
5. There is a new option in the Options Panel to allow you to limit the tutorial tips you see. This should only be used by advanced Wizards!
6. Your character panel now has a starry background so you can more easily see your clothing.

Have fun and safe adventures! There are other surprises in the worlds of the Spiral for you to discover on your own!

I used to play two wizards at the same time on the same computer. I did that this morning. I had to log out and when I tried to log them both back in, it gives me a message that Wizard 101 is already running. It won't let me log in another wizard. Anyone else having this problem?

I submitted a question to them from their website and got a response 25 minutes later! They are awesome!

Hello there,

We have not made any changes to this. You will need to login with one patcher at a time. So open up one program and login and press play. Then once logged in run the patcher again and login. This should allow you to play 2 clients at the same time.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,
Mr. Lincoln

I do that also. Just tested, and no problem for me.

Are you playing full screen or minimized? Explorer or Firefox? I've always done it minimized on Firefox.

Something did change, I'm not sure what. I used to have two login screens open at the same time and then hit play on both. Now I have to do one at a time. Don't care what happened as long as it still works. :thumbsup2
