Witz Lanyard Question

Hello, I have a question about the Witz Lanyards for those that have used them in the past.
Can you scan through the case for the Express Pass, or is the scanner like a credit card swipe and you had to take it out?
Also, has anyone used the the See-it-safe cases in a color, and were you able to scan through those? I was thinking about getting a see through case in a different color for each family member, but I was wondering if they are transparent enough to scan through, otherwise I'll just get clear for everyone and buy different lanyards possibly.

the scanners use barcodes / QR codes

they just need clear *line of sight*

I can't advise about colored, non fully transparent material.

Get clear. I attempted to use colored Witz lanyard's last year, and they could not scan through the colored plastic.

I have clear.

I've also only scanned EP through it; for some reason I always take out my ticket/AP for them to scan.
