Without PS can you just get dessert to-go?

At a restaurant like Kona or O'hana or sit down restaurants that generally need PS can you call ahead and place an order for "just dessert" and pick it up to-go? I'd love to be able to take some dessert back to our room so we don't have to drag the kids into a sit down restaurant when all we want is a sugar and chocolate fix.

I think I've read posts where folks have done this before. It doesn't hurt to walk up or call and ask!

I've taken breakfast out from Spoodle's numerous times. I never have a PS. With one exception, it's never been a problem. That one time, an impatient, grouchy CM refused. By the way, I always tip well for the service, even though I'm taking out. A waiter still has to get the order, pack it up, etc.

if you are looking for a chocolate fix or something for dessert...

you can always try to hit Ghiradelli's (not sure about spelling) in downtown disney... they have great chocolate and ice cream. you just walk up and place your order.

We went to Kona just for dessert and coffe this summer, it was delicious. We went right when it opened for the afternoon/evening stint and it wasnt busy, so if you ask you may be able to get it to go, we sat down in the restaurant but hey, it doesnt hurt to ask.

there are so many delectable treats in the bakeries around wdw to choose from also... right on main street in mk... in france and in norway at epcot, plus electric umbrella(?) in the front of epcot... and i have to say, the twinkie tiramisu at everything pop (foodcourt at pop century) was awesome!! so, if you get turned down at a restaurant, there are a few other options

We went to Kona one night (without a PS) and asked if we could have dessert. We got in. It was end of Sept, though, so maybe less busy.

Also, one night we were sitting on the Poly beach waiting for the fireworks to start and I sweet-talked my hubby into going up to Ohana and getting me a chocolate mousse (my all-time favorite WDW dessert). He did and brought two back in a little styrofoam container - one for me and one for DD. That was one great night of fireworks!!!!
