Without Fanfare Dr. Strange Meet to Begin in DHS NOV. 4th

According to wdwnt, Dr. Strange begins meeting on Friday, November 4th in the TSMM area. Due to restrictions based on the Marvel-Universal agreement, this meet won't be publicized much and may not even be in the Times Guide.

Wow I was thinking whenbthe casting call came friends of strange would be meeting at mvmcp considering when guardians were out it was only for hard ticket and private events

Nothing, absolutely zero info on the HUB. I know they were working on something inside One Man's Dream but everyone thought it was Avatarland related.

Now I don't know the logistics of the whole Marvel/Universal deal but didn't it say that characters that came out after the buy, that are not represented at Universal Orlando was ok to use at Disney? This is why they had the Guardians of the Galaxy characters for a party last year?

My understanding of the Universal/Marvel contract is that Disney is blocked from using any character linked to one that Universal already has. So, all of the Avengers are out because they're all in movies together & some of them are at Universal already. GotG were ok because they haven't been linked to any Universal characters yet. Once a crossover movie is done, then they would be off the table. Or they could already be out because Thanos crossed over, even if it was just for an easter egg. I would think Dr Strange would be the same situation. Safe to use until they tie him in more directly with the other Marvel characters.

Correct Dr. strange doesn't fall under the avengers universal umbrella. He can appear in the parks hence why we saw the movie preview. This isn't surprising due to the audition notices.

@yulilin3 ~ I think wdwnt's info now explains why Hiro and Baymax were never listed in the Times Guide for all those weeks they were in the Animation Building... just that small sign outside of the building's entrance.

Not necessarily. It's my understanding that even if a cross over is done they can still be used in the parks. They aren't considered avengers characters even if they appear in the movie.

well it's not like they have held auditions for characters before and then never see the light of day. So at this point I don't rely solely on them holding auditions for a character

I'm wondering how out of character this will be? Dr. Strange is not one to just go around doing tricks, and he's not very lovable or approachable in the movie. Still excited to see him in the park though

I was wondering the same thing. It sounds a lot like the Green Army Man boot camp thing but they are quite different and fit with the concept much better.
Will be interesting to see just what they have him do when he rounds up the kids

I'm going in with an open mind but having watched the movie I don't get how it will work
