Caffeine withdrawal. I used to drink unhealthy amounts of Coke and Pepsi, like disgusting amounts. I've been dependent on it for years, drinking it in the morning. I gave it up sometime last year and then became dependent on it again in August when I was eating out a lot due to vacation.
For the past few days I've been cold turkey with the stuff, and have drank nothing but water (so I drank like 3 bottles yesterday and had to pee all day).
Is it possible that I'm going through withdrawal today?
The symptoms for it are:
* Headache, the most common symptom, which affects at least of 50 percent of people in caffeine withdrawal
* Fatigue or drowsiness
* "Unhappy" mood, depression, or irritability
* Difficulty concentrating
* Flu-like symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, muscle pain, and stiffness.
I've been dealing with most of that. HORRIBLE headache that's made me feel nauseated, I've had muscle pain and stiffness (but that might be from exercising), I haven't been able to concentrate at all and I've definitely been tired, sad and irritated.
So is it really possible to go through caffeine withdrawal where I only drank Coke and beverages with caffeine, and not actual coffee?
