After our third consecutive trip to the World last November I decided it was time we took a break for 2007. I thought I could get through it by booking a ski trip and a weeks holiday to Cornwall, how wrong was I?

It started with me browsing the up and coming cruises for 2008 seeing as I cried like a three year old when we walked off the Wonder on the last trip. Then I started reading the odd thread on the board which is the worst thing I could have done as now I realise that I cannot live without a trip to Disney this year:scared1:

I am having to consolidate myself with badgering my DH to book for summer 2008 as this will be the first time we have to consider going within school holidays or I am unsure of whether to book around the half term in October and take him out of school.

Does anybody else get like this over Walt Disney World?

i think we all do Clare;) hopefully you will soon have a trip to look forward too

I agree with Nat, I think we all do, I was down in the dumps for weeks when we came back on October, fingers crossed you will have something booked soon

I know how you feel. We are desperately trying to save up to buy the house we live in now and this year we'll probably go see my parents in Portugal for 2 weeks (thank goodness they live in a warm country!) and that's it, even DLP might have to be put off. It's KILLING me!!!!

My head says 'you need to save' but my heart says 'what is the cheapest amount I could do a trip to WDW for'. ;)

2007 is out for us too so i've been planning a trip for 2008 and i've been having fun doing it. The time will go by quickly, you'll see!

What was your Disney cruise like? We want to do a cruise in 2008 too but the Disney ones are so pricey, what makes them special (besides the characters of course!)? Which one did you do?

We did the 4 day Wonder and loved verey minute of it. It was our first cruise and we found it faultless. Our server Roland from the Phillipines was wonderful very genuine and made a real fuss of our DS. The food was excellent. I did have sea sickness on our first night but just went to bed and the next day was fine.
When I left the ship I cried as I was so sad as all the staff had worked so hard to make it extra special. I would book again without hesitation becuase I loved it that much. I must say though we were only 1 of 2 British families on board.

I am exactly the same. We came back in December, and we have said we will not be going this year for various reasons. However, it is not stopping me looking :rotfl: Maybe a little trip to DLP as we have never been there :)

I feel totaL sympathy for you, after enforcing a 5 year ban in our house (mainly cos theres too many other places I want to go) I've had to organise a couple of days in DLRP to get over it. What makes it worse is that January is the busiest time for travel agents and I'm spending almost every day talking wistfully about the place to clients (and finding really good offers whilst looking for their holidays!)
I'm not sure if I'll last five years - well four and a half now, but who's counting?

I am having major withdrawal. DBF wants to go to lots of other places (and I do to) plus we are saving for a house (and maybe our wedding) but I have started my campaign to talk him into WDW for Christmas, my Birthday and New Year 2010 as I will be 30 so I think I deserve a great holiday to get over the shock!

I know exactly how you feel! I keep thinking that we really should save our money or go somewhere else but everytime I think of not going to WDW this year I feel soooo sad! So I end up booking again and saying this time will be the last and Im back to square one! When we have kids we wont go for a couple of years as I think I would find it too stressfull taking a baby on such a long flight but until then you cant keep me away! I figure that if we love it as much as we do whats wrong with going back??

Hopefully you will soon book another trip:)

...Does anybody else get like this over Walt Disney World?
Oh yes!!! The only solution I've found is to book again and get that ticker up and running... :rolleyes1

I know you are all so right and I am pleased to report that I am starting to do my homework in readiness for when the dates are released for later in 2008. The good thing is that booking so far in advance will also mean that I have to save up really hard as I would like to go back to the GF for a week this time as it really is a beautiful hotel. Then just to decide what to do with the other week - oh the decisions :confused3

We last went in 2005 and aren't planning to go back until 2009. We've got a DLRP trip in February but we just can't justify spending the money on another WDW trip just yet. The sad thing is I always look at the cost of any other holiday as a %age of a WDW trip!
