With the long weekend coming...what you got planned?

Friday--take the night off & take dd's to the fair
saturday--going to a concert with the family.
sunday--going to uncle's for birthday party
monday-recover..

My daughter has a birthday party to go to on Sat., and I forgot all about the long weekend! Thanks!!!

I will be cleaning house, cuz the next weekend I'm gong to WDW!!! I hate to leave a dirty house. I am washing windows and everything. Labor day weekend is when we clean out flower beds and potted plants outside. Bring in what we want and get rid of plants that won't reseed or aren't perennials. So, we'll do that too. Just a busy weekend.

Shep, it sounds like you're going to have much more fun!!

We're going to be putting in a new lawn all weekend. Gosh, I really hate gardening.

Our last long weekend mini vaca. (camping in Jellystone about 20mins from my home) Lets hope for warm, sunny weather.

When we return on Monday I begin my exercise/walking/dieting. Only 13 more wks till we Cruise on the Disney Magic!

Shep, yes, I'm sure I will. While laying in bed on Sunday a.m., I told Stephen to enjoy sleeping in on the weekend (we don't have church until 11:00 a.m.), cuz he only had one weekend between then and WDW, and at WDW, I don't sleep in!!!

When EE was still going, I had to drag my girls out of bed, but two things have changed. One, no EE, so we don't have to get up quite as early, and Two, we aren't taking the girls this time!!! DH and I enjoy getting up early, walking the Boardwalk while I eat (he's not a good breakfast eater, but I must eat 6-8 times a day!) If DH has his way, we would then head straight to Epcot every day, but I usually talk him into going to the other parks too. We usually make it to whatever park we're going to before the gates open. Can you tell I'm excited?!?!

I *might* be going to Reno Thursday-Friday with my mom...she has Tom Petty tickets (4 of them actually) but doesn't want to spend the money to fly all of my family up there, plus my sister has an school appt on Friday that someone has to take her to...so it might just be me and her going...I am hoping!!

On Sat or Sun we are going to Solvang, a Danish community north of us because the foreign exchange student we have with us is from Greenland, which is heavily influenced by Denmark and it's culture...she is hoping to find things from home.

Monday...finish whatever summer homework I don't finish this week...

Lets hope for warm, sunny weather.

Ditto on this. We're hitting the road (hopefully not literally ) early Saturday morning for a motorcycle run to Arizona.

Friday- Finish sewing two hawaiian shirts (one for dd and one for her bf) Then work myself to death getting ready for a laua.
Saturday- Get up early and get busy picking up last minute item for laua then in the afternoon decorating the tent and hanging lights etc. Then at 8:00 serve the food, at 10:00 start the cleanup. Get in bed sometime before 2:00 hopefully.
Sunday- Sleep in and go to church in the afternoon.
Monday- Fix a pot luck dinner and take it to a party in the afternoon. And somehow keep an eye on dd and her bf friend all weekend, making sure they are in before curfew and all that kind of stuff.

3.) grocery shopping
4.) relax

Saturday -
1.)get out daily planner and write in when all projects are do, when all papers are do and dates of tests
2.) look up dates and times for PRAXIS tests, send out check
3.) finish getting organized for school
4.) clean out computer of all of last semesters papers etc. Put on back up disks.

Sunday-
1.) finish going through closest, get what's needed for being in classroom
2.) clean bedroom
3.) make any sort of dish needed for picnic, send with mother to picnic

Monday-
1.) relax and enjoy last official day of summer.
2.) take bath and panic about school and PRAXIS tests

Trying NOT to get depressed over the fact that we will NOT be heading to WDW. For 5 out of the past 6 years we've gone to WDW at this time of year. The only year we didn't go, we DID go on vacation the week after Labor day. This year, due to financial problems and DH being out of work, we have no vacation. I really need my annual Disney break.

Otherwise, I'll probably be getting up at 4:30 AM on Saturday for bloodwork and hopefully sleeping in on Sunday and Monday. Maybe visiting my folks one of those days.
