With room, tickets, & meal package, can you split to have QS & Disney DP?

I was wondering if you have room, tickets, & meal package for 7 days, can you have 2 days of Disney Dining Plan and 5 days of Quick Service Plan?

Right now we signed up for QS plan but after reading about all the table service restaurants, I was thinking it'll be nice to try out couple of TS restaurants.

I have thought of changing QS to Dining Plan but because we are going to Universal for 2 days, I don't think we'll have time to use extra 2 credits of TS.

We want to spend all day at Universal so won't have time to go to resort or Disney Spring TS restaurants. And since we don't have park hopper we can't go to any of the parks and besides we will be eating at Finnegans and Mythos at Universal (both sit down restaurants).

At least with extra QS credits, we can buy snacks to take home....

You have to have the same dining plan for the length of your resort stay. The only way you could have 2 separate dining plans is to do 2 separate resort reservations and add the QS plan to the 5 night package and the DDP to the 2 night package. The credits for the DDP have to be used between check in and check out day of the 2 night stay and cannot be spread over the entire 7 days. If you are going to Universal for 2 days it would probably be better to pay out of pocket at the 2 TS restaurants.

If you think you'll have a lot of QS credits left because of your days at Universal you could check the menus on allears or wdwinfo to figure out what you would order and calculate whether you would save money by paying out of pocket and forgoing the QS and DDP.

Thank you. One more question.

After checkout, before we have to be at the airport, if we have time, can we still use QS credit to eat at the resort eventhough we have checked out? When does it expire? The moment we check out?

It expires at midnight the day you check out. So yes, you can check out in the morning and then use the credits later :)
Have fun!!
