With Easter in March next year, what do you think about April...

Kim, I think it would be fine. While spring breaks are spead out through March and April, the week before and the week after Easter are always the most crowded. We went last March, the end of March, and it was a couple of weeks before Easter. I would say the crowds were moderate at best. We were there earlier this month and it was more crowded IMO. Lacee

We have gone the last of April / first of May timeframe during the last two years. The first time, they were experiencing unusually hot weather. Temps and humidity was both in the high 90s. UGH!! Second time, it was nice. Plenty warm, but the humidity was not as bad as during the summer.

Here in New York they are doing something different this year. Even though Easter Sunday is March 27, they are giving our kids off from April 25-29 for their Easter/Spring Break. We usually have the whole week off at Easter but they moved it up a month. I think the week you picked will be a good time to travel.

Same here. In our town the Board of Ed changed the timing of the break to no longer coinside (sp?) with Easter but instead is now the second or third week in April. (Which by the way kills my annual pass which I bought last Easter break thinking it will give me two Easter trips:mad: ) Now I have to take a Thanksgiving trip instead. :( Not too fond of colder weather but at least I will get to see some of the "Christmas at Disney" decorations.---- Guess there is a bright side to everything. :D

I suppose my point was - just because Easter is earlier that doesn't necessarily make April safe. (But your weather should be beautiful and you may still be there for Flower and Garden festival-I didn't check the dates.):hyper:

We have been the first week of May twice and thought it was great. But the days fall a little different this year.

now my only concern is the 50th anniv Disneyland celebration. Will that affect WDW in any way I wonder???

thanks !!

I think it's a great idea. In fact I'm going myself from April 30 to May 8. I don't know if it will effect the crowds much, but the celebration marking the Disneyland 50th is scheduled to start on May 5th with some events planned at WDW.

See you there!

kapica3 i am in the same boat you are! We bought annual passes last Easter and now they expire April 2nd, so they will be no use to us next Easter. So we made our trip for Christmas week instead this year. I know it won't be swimming weather, but with the holidays and beautiful decorations it will be a great time to be at Disneyworld.
