With current APR system, best days for each park?!

Hi all,

20-year DVC member here who used to be a good WDW trip planner. 🥴 But the current system has thrown most of my strategies out the window. We’re heading back with a large party in mid-November for the first time in 2 years. Any general thoughts on which days of the week are best for each park given the current status? We’ll be there for just over a week, including the Veteran’s Day holiday, 2 weekend days and 5-6 weekdays. I do expect we‘ll all be using either AP’s or park-hoppers. Staying at BWV.

Many thanks in advance - hoping to start booking park reservations soon, and for first time ever I’m not enjoying the role of trip planner 😆

We are going right around the same time frame and I am trying to figure out the same information. With the 50th anniversary being included for this time I am starting to think it really does not matter, except for MK being weekday. I also considered Epcot only being a hopping park and not a park reservation day - :scared:, but what if they close for park hopping due to crowds since Food & Wine ends on Nov 20th.

I had read recently that DHS is so bad all the time it really doesn’t matter if you reserve it on a weekend. Don’t know if that’s true. We‘ll have a few millennials in our party who I’m sure will want to try for ROTR, so will reserve more DHS days in hopes of them securing a boarding group. It used to be that Sundays actually weren’t a bad day for MK, but I’m guessing that’s not the case anymore 🤷🏻‍♀️ And I agree about Epcot. May only do 1 PH day there, as assume we’ll hop there many afternooons/evenings. Can’t say I loved FP+ (we were experts on the previous FP iterations tho :) so don’t think I’ll miss that, but do find having to choose parks in advance via reservation to be highly inconvenient!

We were there last year as well for this same timeframe, DHS I think it truly does not matter which day you choose. We are doing 5 day ticket and I am considering 2 days for HS just because of RotR boarding group. I was able to get a boarding group last year @7am I was the only one trying, this year I should have at least 3 trying. It was only 2 of us last year but this year we will have 6-7 people age range 20's to 70's. At the current capacity level and the 50th anniversary I am pretty sure we will not be able to change reservation days maybe a month out, I also think it will be tough @50-60% capacity a month out.
I will say we love Disneyland max pass and would gladly pay for the service at Disneyworld.
