With ChaCha going, I forget to do my rewards anymore. Anyone else?

I love QR and SR and try to at least check them daily for clicks, emails, etc.

Now that I'm doing ChaCha, I'm going days at a time without ever logging on.

I can make $10-$20 a day in the time it takes me to cycle through the normal daily activites for the rewards programs. It just doesn't seem worth it, at least as long as this ChaCha thing is going.

Anybody else like this?

ChaCha started in Nov 2006 as a human-powered search engine. Now it has made the leap to mobile devices.

You can ask a question by texting from your cell phone and get your answer quickly.

I'm guessing that the poster is one of the 30,000 ChaCha Guides who do the actual searching.

I just learned about it 2 weeks ago and signed up a few days later.

ChaCha is a text-message service for cell phone users, kind of like 411 or information. They text in anything they want to know and you sit at your home computer, look up the answer then type it in to the ChaCha screen. They receive your answer a minute or two later by text message.

ChaCha pays you 20-cents for every answer you do. It usually takes about 2 minutes to look it up.

I signed up about 10 days ago and have already made $150! They pay you once a month (the 15th) by checking acct deposit or by a debit card they send you. I'll get my first payment on July 15th.

For a SAHM it's great, because you just work whenever you feel like it anytime 24 hrs a day: just log on and start answering. I've been doing it after I put my kids to bed at night for an hour or so.

The only downside so far: you do get a lot of prank questions and some with dirty language ~ mainly late or on weekends ~ teenagers I guess. But you don't have to answer them if they're bad.

Anyway, you can PM me if you want to know more, like about signing up, the 3 tests you take, how to answer questions, etc. I'll be happy to fill you in.

It's made me feel like the rewards programs don't pay enough since I can watch my balance jump .20, .40, .80 then $1.00 every few minutes. Logging back on to SR, CR or QR and seeing my balance just go up 1 cent, seems not so good anymore!

I think it's hard to compare ChaCha with rewards programs because ChaCha actually is a JOB. It may not seem like it because the hours are flexible and some of the searches are fun. But you are paid essentially as a contractor for the amount of work that you do.

Rewards sites should never be seen as a job. More like a contest/cash back type thing. Just about the time anyone starts to depend on them for money, something happens that screws that up (offers run dry, surveys get pulled, etc) and people start to feel a panic.

The ChaCha thing is really an interesting model. It was started by the guy who invented voicemail and a lot of people are saying that it is going to be one of the next big "things" in technology. If it is at all interesting to you to become a guide, you should get in on the ground floor before everyone learns about it.

if each one takes about 2 minutes...you can do 30 in a hour.... so that is about $6/hr....right??

wow it is a cool idea, but i dont want to have to fill out a w9 to do that. i will just stick with sunshines!!!
