I know that weekends cost more now:sad1: , and that we can't check in on last day of value season and get that rate the whole time, but...what about codes? Say a code is good until 6/2..can I check in like before on 6/1 or 6/2 and get that rate the whole time..like until 6/7? These are hypothetical dates, just trying to get ready for 2008 and *guess* when codes will be!!:wizard:

On the issue of weekends costing more - has anyone confirmed this with actual reservations?

I saw this on the rate lists too, but when I priced out some possible dates online (Disney's site), it didn't seem to show the Fri-Sat ones being more.
The dates went from value into regular, and it showed a breakdown day to day at one point, but the Fri-Sat in regular time showed the same as Sun-Thurs. (This was for POR in late Sept to early Oct.)

I thought maybe it only applied to short weekend trips, (or maybe they just didn't have the online tools set to show them yet). I didn't calculate stuff separately on my own to compare, I just wanted to get get an idea of how much moola we'd be talking for this trip!

good question..:confused3 I hope someone else will know and can help us out! Thanks for the reply!:goodvibes

The answer appears to be no on this.

We won't know for sure .. but the 'low rate' November/December for 59$ a night at values promotion -- was for Sunday to Wednesday nights only. Thurs/Fri/Sat nights were 69$.

Still a savings.. but not as great.

I had tried booking around the edges of the code and the dates that were included in the code came up at the lower rate, but those that extended beyond the code dates, were the normal price. :confused3

Who knows for sure if that's how it will be in 2008.

There is someone who posted this very problem. Her stay was Feb. 10-17 and the discounts ended on Feb. 13. The discount only worked on the days up to the 13th and after that it was full price. You can go to the AP website or the Florida resident website and play with some dates and numbers and see how they add up. As for holidays, forget about it. There were no discounts coming up on Sat/Sun/Mon of MLK weekend no matter which resort level I choose. Looks like Disney covered all bases for limiting how much money we save now. And of course, once we go into peak/regular season, there is a higher price for weekends vs weekdays.

Where can I find the dates for the "seasons"? It will really help with my decision is booking dates!

I just booked for Feb and noticed too that the weekend rates were higher than weekday even for passholders online. For me, when I called to make the reservation instead of booking online the rate quoted was actually cheaper. Not sure why, can only guess that the higher rate was not charged for Friday night which would make up the difference in rate. You might try giving them a call and checking the rates that way to compare. It saved me almost $50 for that one night!
