With a rattle, a clank, and a bzzzttttt

my lowly dishwasher finally gave up the ghost.

I knew it was starting to go... it rattled more and cleaned less. But wasnt prepared for it to go on the NIGHT of my dinner party... but alas, it has cleaned its last dish...


So off we go to the dishwasher store at 8 o 'clock at night... in search of a quiet, affordable, power cleaning machine. Well two out of three aint bad right?


So because we're such nice people, ( and we paid $30 last year to join their "elite" club) they delivered it yesterday for free.


And so began the job of dismantling the old and bringing in the new.... the old one was ready to go as we found out and gave up without much of a fight.

The new one was trickier and didnt come with all its parts so a small trip to the dishwasher part store and we were ready to go.. The proud moment... dh and I actually did this all by ourselves, the new one is in, the old one is out and the dishes are finally clean.


Such a nice thig right before Christmas dont you think?

Ahhh, binny - I feel your pain - my 44 yr. old stove just bit the dust and we got a new one last Monday.

well this one IS quiet and seems to do a nice job on cleaning the dishes.

Hubby said he wants a QUIET dishwasher.
It can't be all that bad....he's had the same dishwasher for 32 years.

I remember when our dishwasher spun it's final cycle a few years ago and we replaced it. It was sooooo quiet
