This is our one meal that's for the grownups to enjoy. The kids will have to buck up for this one, but on the other hand... is Le Cellier dark and and WAY boring for them... I know that the concourse has the monorail thingy... should I let that sway me?

We have done both with our kids, and Concourse gets the slight edge from me as far as atmosphere for kids. I personally love Le Cellier but if fidgeting will present a problem, Concourse may be your best bet.

We've done both and my kids prefer Le Cellier for the pretzel bread. The youngest doesn't even eat off the kids meal at LC, he just makes a meal of pretzel bread, butter, and juice! :rotfl:

Concourse may win on the atmosphere, seeing the monorail go by, and the rainbow bread, but I think the food at Le Cellier is much better than Concourse.

I personally like the atmosphere of Le Cellier better than Concourse. To me Concourse felt kinda cheap and tacky, whereas Le Cellier was so much more upscale in feel.

Ditto! I think either is a safe choice because of exactly what oogieboogie said. Kids should do fine at either.

I think kids would really enjoy the lively atmosphere surrounding the Concourse a lot more! LeCellier is quiet and dim! Also, we love looking in the shops there after dinner! :rotfl:

We ate at Concourse with our two kids last week. Have never eaten at LeCellier. Kids did fine at Concourse - they actually loved the artist palette dessert. Paint a mickey cookie. Maybe next time we will get to LeCellier.
Good luck. Its only a couple of hours and I'm sure your kids will be fine.

I would definitely go with Le Cellier, I find the food much better and I think they have a better kids menu too

The Concourse is right next to CM. Some kids will complain, why aren't we at the fun restaurant.

My dd4 loved the Concourse, watching the monorail go by and painting her Mickey Cookie for dessert. She never even noticed Chef Mickeys. We thought the food at Concourse was excellent, one of the best meals of our trip, never tried Le Cellier but I here rave reviews, just remember after a day at the parks kids are exhausted so they may be happy just hanging out in a quiet dim restaurant like Le Cellier, go with your first choice, my DD4 pleasently surprised us at every dinner sitting like a little lady even when she was tired and just wanted to be in the parks.

We love Le Cellier and the Concourse. Either would really be great, but if you want a more "adult atmosphere" dinner I would choose Le Cellier. Here's what kept my kids busy when we ate there last week: bread at the table (the waiter kept it refilled), the typical kids Disney menu w/crayon for coloring and games, the kids drink with the light up ice cubes (well worth the additional bucks), the kids chocolate moose for dessert (looks just like a moose). We planned our visit for 7 and finished dinner with dessert at 9. It was just perfect timining for illuminations. We left the restaurant and watched the fireworks and then headed back to the room. The food and the service was outstanding. It was definitely the best meal of the trip.

The concourse is great also, but my kids do wish they were at Chef Mickey's everytime the special music plays. They are also constantly waving at the monorail as it goes by and craning their necks to see the characters at Chef Mickey's. The atmosphere is just not as "adult" and relaxing as Le Cellier.
