I was SOOOOOOOOO tired on Friday. First day at school was a wild one!!! The middle school I work at now has 1389 students at last count and we were still serving lunch at 2:30 yesterday!!! My back was hurting so much I could hardly walk. Since the county I work in is mostly middle class and up most kids pay for their lunches so it took the cashiers a while to get the money collected. We in the Kitchen had the food ready but the slow point was the paying for their food. We have three serving lines also!!!
WOW!!! I sure hope Monday is better. We were supposed to get off of work at 2:00 but it was 3:30 when we left and the traffic was horrible since the kids were getting out at the same time!!! This sure is a change from the old school I worked at where we had a little over 500 kids!!
I still am much happier where I am at though. I know the kinks will get worked out and we will get off work when we are supposed to. Everyone is so nice and friendly at this school and THAT makes a difference if anyone is familiar with my previous posts about how my old co-workers treated me.
