Witch...

When I hear witch I think of evil laughter and bubbling cauldrons.

Witch makes me think of me! ;)

Found a shirt in Wal-mart of all places, says I 'heart' Witches. Had to send it to my Dad on behalf of me and my sister(also a witch.)

I would love to learn more about Wicca. The belief seems so nice and peaceful to me.

Hey, Disney is like that for some people. ;)

I'm glad that you've found something so fulfilling. That's hard sometimes.

LOL Pagan Moon. I so know what you mean. When I first met many of the Witches I know I was jokingly called the token Christain. I knew I wasn't happy with my religious path but never thought I'd change religions. Eventually I consisdered myself a Gnostic Christain, then a Gnostic Pagan, then a kitchen witch. About a yr ago I realized my beliefs were Wicca, I just hadn't been comfortable using the term. Fnailly, I decided to join a coven about 6 months ago. Since starting my studies to join, I find that it all fits so perfectly.

Planogirl... there are as many (if not more) branches/versions of Wicca as there are of Christianity. Tomorrow I'll look for a suggested reading list I have around here somewhere. Personally I like Scott Cunningham's books, but I know a lot of people don't. They are watered down and are more of a "how to create your own Wicca".

My paths have changed many times over the years..There are so many different catergories of pagans, wiccan, and patheons..I may still change as I grow older..who knows... :wizard:

The one about Three Sisters Island? I loved those books - think i'll re-read them too!

Those are really good. She wrote some more about witches though, I think it was an Irish family and it was a series as well, have to check her website for the names as they escape me.

Sorry it took me so long to get back with the reading list

The Scott Cummingham book I was mentioning earlier is Wicca A guide for the Solitary Practitioner

Here's the reading list

Drawing Down the Moon

Anything by Dan and Pauline Campanelli

Those are the ones I think would be good introductions. I've also heard that anything by Silver Ravenwolf is good.
