My DH and I are sailing on the Caribbean Princess in 64 days and I have to confess I can't help wishing it was on the Magic. When I look at the iteneraries that they offer, for two adults I can find sailings on different lines of the same quality with a better value - especially if you book within 90 days. But, I still can't help wishing... Mickey will always be my first love :lovestruc

::yes:: I know how you feel! In just 9 days we are leaving for a 7 day cruise on the Costa Atlantica. I know we will have a great time and it was such an incredible deal we couldn't pass it up but ... I still wish it were on the Disney Magic! Oh well, hopefully next time! :flower:

The Carribean Princess is identical to the Diamond. We were on the Diamond last October and loved it. When we take our grandchildren we go Disney but when its my husband and I we go Princess. You will really love it.

i felt the same way when we went on the sapphire to alaska... i kept saying something like "i like disney more than this". eventhough my mom and i say we weren't going to but we did. Although now, i think it was suppose to be a new experice and i did enjoy it, the boat was beautiful and the actives and show weren't the best but better than some that i have saw. The thing was bother me the most was my family(there of course was sixteen of us....my uncle got drunk and made an idiot out of himself, my aunt and uncle(same uncle) complain that they have to do stuff with their kids, like eating with them, watch at the swimming pool, etc., eventhough the rest us was watching them and me, my sister and my three ohter cousins( 17, 15, 11) always ate at the table with them, and finally ( i think) when my uncle (still same uncle) gets all pissed off a virutal(sp?) golf even though it was just a game and ruin it for, my cousins(17, 15) , my dad, and my grandpa. If he basically wasn't there we would have a better time. oh well what can you do. eventhough it is alway better to good in a group. I'm going on the magic in 2006 (double dip one of cc), i can't wait. we do want our family to go but not my uncle and aunt and thank god they don't like disney, as they say " there is nothing for kids there".. Always laugh at that when i here that. So back to your post sorry i need to still get it off my chest. Just think every new cruise or vacation you take is a brand new experince for you. you may like it you may not, but that can't stop you from having fun.

I have cruised Princess cruise lines before. They have an Italian crew aboard and have a pasta dish at lunch and dinner. Make sure you try it every time you dine because it is awesome! That's one thing I miss about cruising Disney.....the fabulous pasta at every meal.

I know how you feel - I was on Carnival's Elation last week and when I saw the Magic in port in Cozumel I was seriously wondering how I could sneak onboard for the balance of my week long cruise. :)

I was on the Caribbean Princess last fall (hurricane Jeanne). I will skip all the bad hurricane stuff and say...I had just come off of the Voyager of the Seas the year before and kept comparing. They are so different...finally decided to open my mind. I grew (not like fungus grew) to really like and appreciate the CP. The movies under the stars was probably my favorite feature of all the ships I have been on JMHO. we would lay there and watch a movie and fall asleep (on the econd deck in the shade). IT was awesome. Also, be sure and do Sterlings Steakhouse. It was the BEST food. I heard great things about Sabitini's too. Any questions about it...feel free to ask or PM me. You will have a ball.

i ate at sterlings twice on our cruise both formal night i liked the food there . The older folks wanted to go to the sabitinis but it was 20 or 30 dollars more, i know there was good food there but it was too expensive for i think for 9 people.
