I know that PoC is down for refurb until July 7th or so, but what are the chances of a soft opening in late June. We will be there from the 22nd to the 26th. and are hoping to get lucky and ride PoC.

Since it's re-opening is tied to the release-date of the new Pirates movie (PotC: Dead Man's Chest, April 7, 2006) I don't know if opening the Pirates ride in MK "early" is what they want to do.

As far as COULD they open earlier if they wanted to?

Last year I would have said no. The schedules are usually set to a length that's required to get desired tasks completed.

BUT... earlier this year, the re-hab of "Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin" was a completed and the ride re-opened a full week earlier than originally posted.

I'll say "maybe yes", but not more than a week early (apporx. July 1st).
But we can always keep our fingers crossed for you.
