Hello all! :earboy2:

My fiancé and I are getting married at Walt Disney World and we are SO EXCITED. That being said, we have a few questions for everyone!!

Our ceremony will be at the Wedding Pavilion and our brunch reception will be at Narcoossee's.

We are unable to do a site visit since we live so far away -- it's just too expensive to go down there and back twice in the same year... What is the wedding pavilion like for those that have had their wedding there? What about a reception at Narcoosee's? I am slightly concerned about the lighting in Narcoosee's regarding photography, but unfortunately that was the only place available for our reception... Is there any room to dance at all?

Any recommendations regarding the best brunch menu items? We can't do a taste testing either... So any suggestions would be much appreciated!!

Our wedding will be in January. What is the weather like during this time? (We are used to Montana winters so we're not sure what to expect in Florida during this time.)

Lastly, we have seen that we get annual passes with the wedding. What all is included in this?

Thank you so much, fellow Disney lovers!! We super duper appreciate it!

Welcome!

You may want to check the two Disney Wedding Podcast episodes I did that cover all the basics of Wishes events. This includes a discussion of the annual passes and what they include:

I can't believe it, but I guess I haven't interviewed any Narcoossee's brides yet. However, if you search the site for Wedding Pavilion you'll come up with scores of couples who were married there and talk about the experience. The post for each episode has tons of photos too.

They clear out the upper level of Narcoossee's and make it the dance floor. However, when you say Narcoossee's was the only place available for your reception, do you just mean at the Grand Floridian? Because there are DOZENS of other, easier-to-photograph locations at Walt Disney World for receptions. I take it Citricos wasn't available? Or the Whitehall Room? Both of those are unique spaces in proximity to the Wedding Pavilion, not to mention numerous ballrooms at the Grand Floridian Convention Center (if you're into those). Was California Grill's Napa Room not available? That's pretty close too.

You can see photos of all the other venues here: http://disneytravelbabble.com/disney-weddings/wdw-venue-photos/

Weather in January is supposed to be mild and often is, but the one thing you'll find about Florida is it's almost impossible to predict the weather. One January we were there and it was 29 degrees at 7pm! Another time it was in the mid-70s and gorgeous, which is about how it's supposed to be then. Also, the chances of rain are much lower than in the summer, so that's a plus. We love January and February at WDW!
