We got to see Wishes 4 times last week and have to say it is the best fireworks we have ever seen. They lasted almost 20 minutes and were so high up and huge! The special effects were beautiful! I ended up taping it once from the park and once from the Poly beach. Tinkerbell flies a couple of minutes after the start and she is all lit up and striking poses all the way to Tomorrowland. Her entire body is alight! The best place to stand is in the hub to the right of the castle, in the street near the Tommorowland bridge. Perfect view as it allows you to see the everything. They make everyone leave Fantasyland before the fireworks and they hose the place down with water. You can get back into Fantasyland a few minutes after the show. I won't be able to see Wishes again until April but at least I have it on tape to enjoy until then.

Thanks so much for your review and tips. We arrive 5pm ish Saturday 11/15 and I think we'll brave the Saturday night crowds just to make sure we see the show. I don't care so much about spectro but really want to see Wishes. Maybe while everyone is crowding to see Spector we can snag a good spot for Wishes where you suggested!

Thanks again, Sharon

We did brave a Saturday to see this and it wasn't bad at all. We watched Spectro in Frontierland and then walked over to the castle to see Wishes. There were plenty of spaces to stand in the actual hub to see it. While most stood on the sidewalks around the hub many like us stood right in the streets around the hub. The first time we stood to the left of the castle and didn't get the greatest view of the lower fireworks. The second time we went to the right side and got a perfect view. You won't have to stake out a spot as everyone sort of just strolls up and stands. It was great and you shouldn't miss it!

Thanks for the great reviews.
I can't wait to see it....only 47 more days ;) :bounce:

sort of where the plaze rest. is a good spot?? Thanks

We saw Wishes on Wednesday night and loved it as well. To get the full effect, you really should find a spot directly in front of the castle. We stood in the middle of Main Street USA near the Ice Cream Parlor. The view was great.

Does anyone else think they could have done a better job with the music? The fireworks are absolutely INCREDIBLE! THe effects are amazing! I just think that the soundtrack isn't as out of this world as the fireworks. The music just didn't flow.

I LOVE when the castle turns into a sorceror's hat!

We stood directly in front of the castle on Main Street (between Casey's and the Bakery) and thought that was a great view. We also saw it on a Saturday night (10/18) and it was absolutely mobbed. You couldn't move around the hub or into any of the lands for about 15 minutes after Wishes ended. It could have just been the night we were there I guess, but Wishes was 12 minutes long on the 18th. Also, we thought the soundtrack was great--for us it made Wishes into a show, like a mini-Fantasmic, not just another fireworks display. It was by far the best fireworks we've seen at WDW, including NYE!

We are looking forward to seeing them on our December trip.::yes:: :wave2: :wizard: :goodvibes

I can't believe we missed this! Does anybody know what time they were on Friday the 17th? I read on-line that they were supposed to be at 8:30pm but then at Typhoon Lagoon that day they had all the times posted and Wishes was listed at 9pm so we missed it! :(
However, we were enjoying a meal by ourselves at the Concourse Steakhouse while our kids spent time in the kid's club. We went outside right before 9pm to catch the show but no deal! I'm surprised we didn't notice any activity around that time of people rushing outside or anything.

Oh well, next month maybe!

We just got back and were so lucky as they just started wishes and Mickey's Philharmagic. Wishes is absolutely wonderful. The music and the fireworks are perfect. I love how they come from the side of the castle as well. I think it is better than Illuminations. I can't wait to see it again.

The best fireworks I have ever seen anywhere. We stood in the center of main street in front of the bakery and it was nothing short of breath taking. I took tons of photos , when i figure it out i will post them, I am so pleased with them.

We always passed on Fantasy in the Sky on prior trips, but after reading all the great reviews about Wishes, it is on our must-do list for our December trip:tongue:
