Havings seen Disney press releases describing Wishes as the biggest/best fireworks show ever and now seeing the same press releases for Remember the Magic - Disneyland's 50th Anniversary Celebration... I figured it was time to let the competition begin. So let's get ready to rumble!!!

Which Fireworks show is the best???

Arghhhh, stupid thing wouldn't allow me to attach a poll!!!

The name of the Disneyland show is actually "Remember... Dreams Come True."

IMO it is *so much better* than "Wishes!" In fact, now that I've seen the DL show, I'm not going to go out of my way to even bother seeing Wishes when I visit WDW in late September.

Remember the Magic was that awful repetative awfully repetative parade that used to be in MK.

Wishes is a lot better than Remember... Dreams Come True. They basically just rip off Wishes for most of it and put in music for some of the attraction sin between. You don't get that teary-eyed "I-want-a-hug" smile from the DL show. Without Wishes, Remember... Dreams Come True wouldn't be the same at all. In encompasses most of the spectacle.

Remember... Dreams come true blows away Wishes. Hearing Walt's opening day speech with Tinkerbelle and her amazing new flight with the fireworks in the background can't be topped.
The Wishes music which is only ok in my book takes up 5 minutes of the show while the other 12 minutes is the salute to the Disney attractions we've loved over the past 50 years.

Huh? :confused3

Have you actually *seen* the current "Remember" show? Standing in the hub of Disneyland, with fireworks coming up all around you (not just in front of you), and hearing that familiar voice boom out with: "IS THIS HAUNTED ROOM ACTUALLY STRETCHING?..."

Or Tink flying back and forth, all around the castle? I don't see how Wishes, where Tink just rides the wire on a simple "one-way trip" can even come CLOSE to comparing!

All IMO, of course! :teeth:

I would have to say that the Remember...Dreams come true is a much better fireworks show. I was much more awestruck than with Wishes. Maybe is was all the hype, but the DL show just took my breath away. I love the soundtrack, and that might just be the key--I don't entirely care for the Wishes soundtrack. I am excited to see wishes again in October though.

I'm just a (Disney) fireworks junkie--I would go every night while we were at Disney if DH let me.
