which would you choose? We have both booked right now and want to pick one of the two. I prefer the Hallowishes because seating is assigned and you get the viewing area for the parade but DH wants to go to BOG on party night and I don't want to eat at 6:30 then go to the dessert party stuff at 7:45 and not get time to do other party stuff. so which would be better?

I know which one I'd choose.

We have booked the hallowishes but also wondering if it will take too much time up. I don't know if you do get assigned seating this year?

Why would you choose? I know no one can choose for us I just want opnions

I'd choose the one which I liked enough to fully explain and talked about first, and not the one where I explained that I didn't want to do it because of X.

;)

I would tell him it is either Be Our Guest or the Wishes Dessert Party. No way would I eat a huge meal and then go try and eat a bunch of desserts.
That's why he wants to switch to the regular wishes party. We have Bog booked for the Halloween party night

I'd choose (and have booked for my upcoming trip) the Hallowishes party because of the reasons you mentioned: parade viewing and assigned seating.

But FWIW, I probably wouldn't do that AND BoG on the same night. Too much party time lost, imo.

Edited to add: And if I had to choose between BoG and Hallowishes party, I'd definitely skip BoG. For me that experience is pretty overrated, and you could do that another time. BoG definitely is not going anywhere. Hallowishes is exclusive to MNSSHP, obviously...

Is there assigned seating as it reads as though they seat on a first come basis? As per normal dessert party. Be great if it is reserved.

I read the Hallowishes is reserved based on when you make reservations and the other one you have to get there early for a seat

I'm debating on the same thing as well. Is it worth the cost to pay for both the party and the desert party? Or is it best to do the desert parth another night? Is it really premium? Is there really that much difference for the desert party during the Halloween Party?

Well I have about 3.5 months to decide, guess we will talk it over some more and I need to find out if the Halloween party one is really reserved assigned seating or if it's like the regular one

I agree with this. There's no way i'd eat a huge meal then go to the dessert party. Its too much.

Yeah I agree and he know that. I guess how I wrote it was confusing. Our options are
1) drop BoG and do the Hallowishes dessert party
Or
2) do BoG on MNSSHP night and do the dessert party another night
Or
3) scrap a dessert party all together

What is so special about BOG on party night? No way would I waste all that party time on a sit down meal. I'd do a quick service like Cosmic rays or CHH and the dessert party. Actually, I feel the dessert party is a lot of time too, I'd probably do neither.

I booked the Hallowishes dessert party. It would be great if the seating is reserved, but it says it is not under the 'Happy HallowWishes Dessert Premium Party - Know Before You Go' section.
From the website:
  • The viewing location for the Mickey’s “Boo-To-You” Halloween Parade is outdoor, uncovered and standing-room only. Seating is not available for the parade viewing. Wheelchairs and ECV’s can be accommodated. Seating will be available at the dessert party on a first-come, first-served basis—but every table has a great view of Cinderella Castle!
