Wishes Viewing from Poly?

Hello all my fellow DIS'ers I have yet another question for all of you wonderful people. We will be at Pop Century in 13 days woo hoo! Can't wait!! But I wanted to know if there's anyway we would be able to watch Wishes from the Polynesian resort. We will be eating dinner there on our second night and would love to catch the FW if you can actually see them from there. And where would be the best place exactly?

Last year we had dinner at 'OHana and sat right at a table at the window overlooking the lagoon all the way to the table. We were able to watch Wishes as we ate our dessert. It was a wonderful surprise and it was beautiful. They did not pipe in the sound track however.
Lots of folks like to go out to the beach at the Poly. If you finish dinner in time you can head to the beach to watch Wishes. It is piped onto the beach with speakers. I have not personally done this, but it is supposed to be wonderful.

Watching Wishes from the beach area is nice at the Poly and you do not have to stay there to do it. The best place I found this summer is right where the pool deck ends and the beach starts. You can hear the music really well there and the castle is in plain site as well.

The fireworks at the Poly are very nice.

If you go whenever they are having any of the parties, MNSSHP, etc. see them from across the lagoon - either at the Poly or the boat launch at the GF the perimeter FW's are the BEST!!!

If you want to go back at other times when you do not have ressies... just go to security at the parking lots and tell them you want to go into the lounge to have a drink. They will give you a pass for a certain amount of time to put in your windshield.

If you are taking other transportation, then take the bus to the MK, ride the resort monorail around to the Poly or GF and go from there.

We've done this several times, including July 3rd this year - for the early 4th of July fireworks!! It was great! We just sat on the sidewalk, with our feet by the sand near the pool area. We got dole whips from the "fast food" place and enjoyed a great view!
