Wishes times vs. park closing times

Can anyone tell me why, on Disney's official website, many of the MK closing times are 15 minutes earlier than Wishes times? From what I've seen, many nights during our vacation, MK is open until 8:30 and Wishes is listed at 8:45. Can someone help me understand this please? Can you tell I'm a WDW newbie?!?

There's no truly logical reason... Disney just likes to do that from time to time I guess it helps with clearing the park as all the rides will be closed before Wishes begins. As a CM at MK I can tell you we all think it is funny when they do that and it ALWAYS confuses people, but it is not a mis-print...they just like to do that

I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't misreading or misunderstanding something. Even the smallest little things seem to confuse me at times!
