Just a few questions about Wishes fireworks:

How long do they last?

Can you see the show from the monorail station or ferry boats to the TTC?

We will be at MK on Wednesday, and Wishes is at 7pm. We have an 8 o'clock PS for Biergarten in Epcot, and I don't know if we can see Wishes before we head over to Epcot. Is this possible? We aren't a real fast-paced family- we have a Pooh-sized mom, a dwadling 6 year-old, and a late 60s Grammy on the trip.

Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

It is about 30 minutes in length. Maybe shorter. You can see it from the Ferry boats though. They have wishes cruises on Bay Lake so I know this to be true. But w/o the music it is really not the same. Maybe you can bump your PS a little. Or if you are near the entrance to Main St. so you can make a quick escape? It will be a stuggle getting from MK to Germany in this alloted time. Monorail leaves you off near the entrance to Future world. The World Showcase boat stops running at 8:00ish because Illuminations. We were just at Epcot with my Mom (66) and she is very active. But Epcot did her in. 1 full day (10:00am-9:00pm) doing most of Future World and the entite World Showcase. Hope this helps. Monorail would be the fastest way there if you get a jump on the crowds leaving MK though.

Wishes is 14 minutes long, I believe.

I would not try to view it before heading to Epcot, as it will take awhile to get there and walk to Germany. BUt I WOULD try to view it another night on Main St because it's the best with the music and lights on the castle. You should be able to see the aerial fireworks perhaps while leaving the park, but not catch the ground stuff and music (and Tinkerbell).

They are truly the best fireworks Disney has done, I think. =)

I'd either change your PS or drop it altogether.

As other posters have stated, it's not the same without the music. (strike one)
Main Street is impassible during Wishes & right after, everyone is making the crush towards the exit. Even during Wishes, there's quite a # of people who are just outside the park to "avoid the rush" and see a little of the show and the line for the monorail grows quickly. Don't think the ferry boat will be much better. We rode the ferry boat during Wishes & everyone crams to the back of the boat hoping to see some of it (strike 2)

AND even ignoring the crowds at the entrance/exit to MK right before/during/after, you still need to consider regular travel time - waiting for a monorail or ferry, loading time, travel time, unloading time, security/ticket gate at EPCOT, and the walk to the back of the park (strike 3)

and you admit you're not fast paced. I consider myself fast and I think I'd be pushing it to leave 7 and make it by 8 because you may "just miss" one transportation (Monorail or Ferry to TTC, monorail to EPCOT & walking to the back of WS) - and that's not counting any crowds

Good advice. It was really difficult to get around the mainstreet area anywhere near Wishes when we were there, AND right after it was a mad dash to exit. The lines for the monorails and fairies were unbelieveable. It took us a long time just to board one, so I think it would be such a tight squeeze you wouldn't enjoy either event.

Just to give you an idea on walking time, I was told to plan 30 minutes to walk from Epcot's parking lot back to Norway for the Storybook Princess Breakfast. I would guess it's about the same (or a little more) from the monorail to Germany.

Don't forget, you need to check in for a PS 10-15 minutes early.

I also agree with other posters that Wiches just wouldn't be as 'moving' without the music. Without the music and song it's just another fireworks...well, almost.
