How do you get seats in the preferred viewing area. Every time I go I see people being allowed to sit at the little tables that a roped off near Tomorrow Land. How do you get these special seats? :)

I'm not really sure, but I think it may have to do with some sort of package you can buy. If you called 1-407-W-DISNEY I'm sure they would be able to tell you :flower:

It used to be a part of the Silver/Gold/Platinum packages, although I'm not sure what it's used for now. I have to say that the open seating right next to it (by the newly opened Tomorrowland Noodle Terrace) is just as good, if not better. I suggest grabbing some food and a chair there about 45 minutes before the show.

The preferred viewing spaces are from the old Dream Maker Plans. Prior to Disney instituting the MYW plan they were selling the Dream Maker Plans for 2005. Needless to say, some people (including myself) got the plans before stopped selling them. So.....for now....those spaces you can only get by being on the plan.

I think the prefered veiwing is included in the newer MYW premium packages

We had great seats up above Main Street Train Station, but get there early----as in 2 hours early. The parade was right at our feet. The seats are first come, first served. Plus there are tables there too, along with the chairs.

Whats great about the preferred viewing ....is that you can walk up 15 minutes before the fireworks and have a great space, as opposed to sitting for 2 hours for the "prime" viewing real estate that is not roped off.

What I dont get is that some people spend so much of their vacation waiting for a 15 minute Wishes show, and yet, it's because they want a "seat" instead of standing. The thing is, I used to do that until I realized that I can walk up to the same area (roughly) as they are in and do it only 10 minutes before the show starts.

If you dont mind standing, you can get about anywhere you want for the show. Remember, Wishes isnt a long long show.

here to say that I can't wait to see Wishes!! Ok....just needed to say that. :)

Unlike Fits, I can say that Wishes never gets old, no matter how much you see it!

Oh yeah, then I just need to say this... I've been in the MK on 4 seperate days since Wishes began, and have yet to see it. Well, actually I've seen the bottom of it. We were just leaving CRT as the show started, and were "trapped" under the castle till it was over. The only thing I saw was the glow of some pretty close up fireworks being launched. :earseek: But this time, I will see it! :magnify:

When I was there a couple of weeks ago the sign said it was AAA priority seating. Apparently you can book it as you do PS's at city hall or exhibition hall, whichever.

We had preferred viewing arrangements as part of our DM Silver package in February, but when we went to the preferred seating area, it was full of random people. No one checked our vouchers, and there was not a cast member to enforce the area.

Not that it mattered. When Wishes started, we couldn't see it through the trees, so we left.

You're right---I'll never sit or stand for 2 hours for Wishes again. This was our first time and we weren't overly thrilled with it. We live in the fireworks capital of the world and their works weren't that thrilling. BUT---with that said, it's still nice to see over the castle and with the music, but not worth 2 hours. I could have been standing in the line for Tower of Terror instead! :)

I did enjoy Epcot's 1 1/2 hour standing though--that show was worth it.

We've done it with the DM Silver Plan for many trips and will do it again in August. We are usually the first to arrive there and we get some great seats right up against the rail in the viewing area. We will miss the Silver Plan.

I'm gonna cry if you guys don't stop talking about Wishes. I'm really getting homesick !! I even have the soundtrack in my car and listen daily. Can't wait !! :wizard:
