Wishes Minimum...again.

Hi all! Planning a weekday wishes wedding (Nov. 10ish..to finalize next week) in November. Does anyone know if a dessert party (not held before 5pm) either the night before...or on the actual wedding night can count towards a 10,000 min wedding...or does that bump us up to the $12,000 min?

I believe that the ceremony has be the 10am or 12pm time slot, and my sales person did say that the ceremony time was the what needed to meet in order to get the $10k minimum, everything else was fair game.

My reception is going past 2pm, way past 2pm and I still only have to meet 10k.

It also depends on the time of year. I'm having a morning wedding but getting married in October. My planner said that since it's a busy season for wedding, we have the usual minimum (15K for a friday wedding). I'm not too upset, now I have to spend it, so I won't feel bad including some extras.

If your reception starts before 2pm and lasts 4 hours or less, your minimum is $10,000. Adding on a dessert party doesn't change anything.
(But only events held on the wedding day itself count toward the minimum, so a DP held the night before wouldn't count.)

Now if the dessert party is a replacement for a reception, then you'd have to meet the regular $12,000 minimum... and add a bunch of food to meet the per-person minimums!

Thanks for the info. The DP would not be replacing the lunch reception. So we are good!
