Wishes in September

The 2015 MK calendar had MK closing at 7:00pm on Sept. 1st, 4th and 7th. The updated calendar then changed the times with MK closing at 10pm on Sept. 1st, 4th and 7th ~NONE of these dates were MNSSHP nights.

Indeed, the first MNSSHP for 2015 was September 15th and in all likelihood will be around the 15th this year again since Labor Day is late this year just like it was last year and the MNSSHP historically doesn't start until after Labor Day.
Yes, exactly! I remember this from last year. Everyone assumed the 7 pm closing meant MNSSHP and then they extended the hours on those days and started MNSSHP later.

I would actually switch my dates around to earlier if they have MNSSHP on 9/2. But, given the later Labor Day, I also don't think it will happen. My 180 day is this Sunday and I have no idea what my plan is yet.

So the Disney website has Wishes a few times in the 9/3 - 9/11 week and Friday, 9/9 just came out and MSEP and Wishes are added to that night. Should I go with the Diseny website vs. using Josh's calendar?

Interesting. Josh's calendar is based on the TA calendar which, traditionally, has been more correct than the one on the regular Disney website. Wish they would update the TA calendar so we can be sure of what is going on.

The TA calendars are more accurate that the Disney web site calendar?! That's so weird!! I understand the TA getting the calendars before they are released on the site, but why would they more accurate? You would think both would come directly from Disney, therefore they would be the same info. It would be SOOOOOOOOOOO nice if they matched! I'm really running out of time. o_O

In the past, where there was a discrepancy, the TA calendar was correct and the website was wrong. BUT, looking at the date on the TA calendar, it's Feb 12. That's a long time ago. Wish it would have a more recent date. I guess Disney has too much going on with the rollout of the AK night attractions and EP Norway to focus on what's happening in September.

This is all very interesting. I haven't booked my trip yet (waiting for FD to be announced - but that's a whole different subject!) but we are loosely planning on Sept 13-20. We all adore Wishes so much we are considering going a week later just to make sure we see it at least once. Either way, I'll be getting ready to make ADR's in the next few weeks so I will be watching Josh's calendar like a hawk!

Same. I've been wondering if I've turned into a lethargic planner (I have) and that I don't care about this trip anymore (I kind of don't) because of all of these crazy what-if's with the park and now with the food price increase (BOG anyone!?); this has been frustrating to say the least (boo!). I knew that planning this wouldn't be easy, but goodness grief, give me some reprieve Disney!

Me too! Last trip I planned was SO much fun and I was really excited about the whole process. This trip is just overwhelming and confusing and I don't know if I'm making the right choices for anything...

Agreed. Just trying to figure out if our ADRs make sense anymore with the price increase. We really wanted to try for a pre-opening BOG breakfast, but, $24 for every breakfast item? I'd rather buy a cupcake and call it a day. What a waste! It's ridiculous.

I'm frustrated...the WDW official calendar on MDE only goes throug 9/9. Everything after that is greyed out. My trip starts 9/10. I looked at the travel agents calendar and am pretty sure that one is going to change. AK sows as closing daily at 5pm and we know THAT's changing thanks to RoL, and still no Wishes or MSEP that whole week.

Days are coming out daily.

They've been releasing them 1 day at a time. So, tomorrow you should see 9/10. My trip ends on 9/10, so I've checked each day and tomorrow it will finally be complete. Of course, there are some definite variances to the the TA calendar....

Definitely some differences. They have MSEP and Wishes scheduled for 9/9.
Im guessing that MK will be open to the general public even though its NOJ that night?

I've seen NOJ mentioned...what is it exactly? And, I thought people said it was moved and no longer at MK. Is that not the case?

Its a big Christian concert. It did get moved to ESPN but NOJ ticket holders still have access to MK. No one really knew if they would still close MK to the general public or not due to the move of venues.

The Night of Joy concerts have been moved to the old espn sports complex for this year. But each attendee also gets MK admission for those days. So be aware.

KT0191- you must have posted as I was typing. LOL

But each attendee also gets MK admission for those days.

So, if NOJ is that night at ESPN (is this something people buy tickets for?) that night, that means anyone who bought a ticket for that gets into MK for free that day? So, MK would probably be a bad choice for the day, but maybe OK at night during the actual concert?

Ooooh! I had no idea that NOJ was during my trip. Guess I'll be looking into buying tickets for that.

From what I've read you do not have to purchase the same amount of breakfast's as reservations. So you could just split one if you wanted. In fact you can order the children's breakfast.

I was wondering about that! You read my mind.

We were thinking to do the assorted ham and maybe a children's option. If that's a no-go, then we'll just go to Crystal Palace. It was on our list for a lunch anyway, but, not a big deal to do a switch-e-roo.

ETA: Just looked at photos of breakfast in general. It doesn't even look that great. And for the exorbitant amount that they're trying to charge folks is unreal with what little food you get. $24? C'mon, Disney, get real.
