Wishes in every Disney movie

well...disney tends to run on dreams and wishes. it gives people hope even when they dont realize it. when youre little the song "a dream is a wish your heart makes" and "when you wish upon a star" really dont mean more than just pretty songs. but when youre older, and you listen to the words and know how it feels to "love the sweet fulfillment of your secret longing" or feel like "no matter how your heart is grieving..." it kind of..means more.

but i think im blabbering on like an idiot now ^^; dont mind me.

Haven't you noticed in all the Disney movies someone dies or has died/been dead? Such as Cinderella having no dad or mom, Belle having no mom, Jasmine having no mom, Aladdin having no parents, Bambi's mom dying, Simba's dad dying, Nemo's mom dying, all the pirates in POTC dying, the wicked queen in Snow White dying, Gaston dying, Hopper dying, etc. These are just the ones off the top of my head, too. I thought *most* Disney movies were rated G, with the exception of POTC.

I think this (about wishes) goes back to the ideals of Walt Disney, not completely sure about that though. Nowadays, you don't see too many movies about (good) wishes/dreams coming true, so it's nice to watch these old Disney movies every once in a while.

As for the thing about death, I'm just guessing that it has something to do with death being something that everyone can relate to, and therefore can sympathize with the main character.
