Wishes FP Area

Are you still allowed to sit in the FP area for wishes even though there is no FP+?

We werent supposed to go back until June. My teens were so sad, i re-booked the flights for our fort lauderdale cruise in april, so that we can do disney for two nights first, then drive from orlando to Fort lauderdale.

We're doing the Dessert Party on May 11 AND May 12 to experience the last WISHES and the first new show.

I was floored when I saw the new show is SIX minutes longer than WISHES.

How early do you thing we need to arrive to get a spot in this area for the projection and fireworks show? We will be there May 27 which is the Saturday of Memorial weekend. We really liked watching from this area when it was a FP+ area, but I'm wondering if it just gets full really early now.

That's what I thought. I'm glad they kept one side open but I would have rather had a FP+ to guarantee a spot!

No CM's have watched over this area the 3 trips we've taken post Wishes FP era. There's been a mixed crowd of some standing, some sitting. We've found if we want to sit and ensure enough space in front of us, we get a spot right behind the front fencing. We'll stretch out far enough to give room to spread our legs completely straight (with a tiny bit to grow on lol). Those in front of the fence will of course be standing, but with enough room in between that it won't block the majority of your way. Any further back, and you're just at the mercy of the people in front of you. When shoved together closely, it can get in your way if they stand last minute and you don't

PS: When we want to stand, we'll get a spot leaning along the back fencing. Either spots, plenty of room to find by arriving 60-45 mins early. We don't mind arriving early with the area being less chaotic than Main Street, the close bathrooms by CP, and ice cream shop/Starbucks We'll just take turns going. And a good break to unwind
