We could use some help deciding on our plans for our upcoming trip this May. Our original plan had us spending our first day at Epcot, the second day at MK until dinner then Jellyrolls (yay!), third day sleeping in and pool in the morning then the afternoon/evening at AK and fourth morning at HS with Epcot in the afternoon. We’ve been discussing the plans a lot lately and have had some serious debates on if we want to skip HS this time around to spend more time at Epcot for Flower and Garden. For people who have been to F&G before, would you recommend making two full days dedicated to it and the food booths? Would it be worth skipping HS for?

Also, we seem to have amazing timing with our trips to coincide with the endings of shows at MK and will be there for the last Wishes showing. On our trip the past fall, we were there for the last main street electrical parade, but decided to skip it due to the crowds. I slightly regret not seeing it one last time so thought we should at least see Wishes one last time, but my mom isn’t great with crowds so I do worry about that. Do people think it’ll be a madhouse there for the final few days of Wishes or only the last night? Also, we’ll be there for the new show, any thoughts on the crowds the first or second night? We were thinking it would be cool to see, but not if we have to fight ridiculous crowds!

Thanks!

We are going this year in May as well. Not been for F&G before, however, with the limited number of days you have (we are taking 7) I might skip HS unless you really want to see the Star Wars nighttime show. I feel there's very little there to attract our attention, though we are still going for half a day, but we have 3 days more than you. We plan to spend a day and half at EPCOT, possibly two. EPCOT is far more enjoyable that HS at the moment imo.

Lol, we watched the electrical parade on our honeymoon (2011) and it was the first time I saw it and I thought it was so cool. Then I hadn't seen it in forever and was so looking forward to it coming home to Disneyland (we are from SoCal) and we went to see it and I was somewhat disappointed as Paint the Night was soooo much better and now it's gone.

My wife has similar feelings about Wishes, some other firework shows have been far better than Wishes and my wife is hopeful the new show will be better, but you will likely encounter crowds on both ends because, yes, there will be people who want to see it before it goes one last time, and many who will want to be among the first to see the new show.

Keep in mind, the WS including the food booths don't open until 11:00am. So you could easily do HS for a few hours in the morning, then walk or boat to Epcot.

We are there in May as well 9-16. We will be watching Wishes for the final time, and are going to try and get a seat at Caseys outside, have dinner and wait it out a bit, maybe grab an ice cream too:) seems a better idea than curb sitting.
Otherwise, we are hoping a reservation at CG opens up at any point in the day, so we can go back up later for Wishes in the evening. Unlikely. But still.
