Wishes Fireworks from Whitehall Room

Has anyone had an event at Whitehall Room and stayed for the Wishes show? I am trying to figure out if we could stay at Whitehall to watch fireworks or if we should move over to Sago Cay.

If anyone has pictures that would be great.

I'm interested to see photos too, however I think SCP is a lot closer, and would have better photos

I have heard of a couple that did this and she said the view was pretty good but you needed to stand closer to the building and it's partially obstructed by the monorail. So if you wanted to get pics with the fireworks behind you, you're better off at SCP, but if you just want to be able to watch the fireworks, it would be fine.

I think with SCP you'll have a more special feel since you'll have all the dessert party stuff too.

Where is Sago Cay? Is this a particular room at one of the monorail resorts?

I haven't been there, but you can see where Sago Cay is on here, however the DP location is outside, not in a room.

The dessert party location at Sago Cay is an outside location. It is very nice and is just a short walk from the Whitehall room. I am just trying to juggle the additional minimums associated with a dessert party there as opposed to staying at the Whitehall Room and having a dessert event to wrap up our reception.

We just had our VR reception at the White Hall Room and Patio. We had everyone go out to the patio to watch the fireworks and the view was just perfect! I know others have said the view isn't good and it is obstructed, but I have to disagree. Maybe because it was in Nov. but there were no trees blocking the view. The monorail track is right there but that only added to the beauty of the show! Our guests were flipping out when the monorail passed as the fireworks were going off, it was really magical! It was one of the best parts of the night for all of us. You didn't have to stand on the short wall to see them better either. You had a great view just standing in the middle of the patio. You can have the music piped in for I believe $750. But our DJ had speakers out there and played the Wishes song for us! It was perfect!!! I don't have any pictures yet but our photographer took a ton of them during the show. I will post them when I get them. I can't imagine why you would have to have everyone move over to Sago Cay to view them, unless it is for a dessert party after your reception? That location is closer to the castle, I have watched the fireworks from there before. It is a good location, but I wouldn't have all my guests move to that location if we were all already at the White Hall Room.

Thanks everyone for posting the GF maps! We're actually a little under 2 years from when we'd like to do our Wishes Wedding, but I'm already starting to get ideas. We're going to DW in May to look at locations with our planner, so I'm trying to decide which locations we'd like to take a look at for the rehearsal dinner and reception. Coming onto the disboards gets me excited and gives me lots of ideas.

We had our reception at Whitehall and then moved to Sago Cay to end the night with the fireworks.

We could have stayed to watch them, but I wanted to be out on the water where everything was cleared. But, if it were not in our budget, I would have had no problem staying at Whitehall.

Thanks for all the info ladies. It's good to know that staying at Whitehall would be a possible option for fireworks. I am juggling budget ideas and trying to figure out how to get everything we want!!

The view is better from Sago Cay. The Wishes music is piped in at the Marina and in sync with the Fireworks the same as if you were in MK and can be heard at Sago Cay. It's a nice spot for a dessert party. I attended a Family Event there during the summer.

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding at White Hall and even though the Fireworks are nice from White Hall Patio, they are much nicer and closer from Sago Cay.
