Wishes Fireworks Cruise

Has anyone done this yet? Where did you have the boat pick you up from and how much was it?

Several years ago we did the Illuminations Cruise on the Breathless and it is one of our most memorable WDW moments. Now we would like to try the Wishes Cruise.

Would you recommend it? Do you really get a great view of the entire show?

Although we have not done this one, I did call and ask a few ??

I was told that they would pick you up at either GF, CR or Poly, can't remember if they mentioned FW.

She also said the fireworks are 20 minutes. I thought they were only 12.

I think with the popularity of the Iluminations cruises and few people getting those, they are trying to *sorta push* the Wishes cruise. It did sound like it would be fun!

I believe she told me they have 8 or 9 pontoons for Wishes. (don't quote me on that, I have many senior moments!)

We did the Wishes cruise in October and enjoyed it. We have also done the Illuminations Cruise.

Wishes runs from Poly, GF, Contemp, and WL. We were picked up at WL. They told us to be there 45 minutes prior to the start of the fireworks. When we boarded the boat, they took us on a cruise around Bay Lake, and then the Seven Seas Lagoon prior to finding our 'spot' for the fireworks about 5 minutes before they started.

I really enjoyed it, and would do it again. They only drawback is that you don't have the music, as there is not a sound system on the boats. The cruise is the same price as the Illuminations Cruise ($120).

I'm not sure exactly how many boats they have, but I remember there being 3 or 4 from WL alone.

When we did this in Dec 02 we could hear the music fine. Wonder if it depends on which way the wind is blowing? We enjoyed it very much as well.

WLD, I think you are right....it probably depends on which way the wind is blowing. I think we could hear some, but not as clearly as when you are in the park, or over near transporation and ticket where the sound is piped in.
