I did a fireworks cruise a couple years ago and arranged to find some extra people to join me to help split the cost.
It can be worth it, as long as you keep in mind that it would require pulling yourself away from a park early in order to get ot the resort to catch your cruise.
I'd also recommend not countng on everybody who says they will be there actually showing up. things happen that could prevent them from making it to the boat in time. (for instance, traffic, illness, losing track of time, etc). as a result, look at the full cost to see if its within your budget. Even if you are able to find people to help split the cost, there may be something that prevents them from actually making it and giving you their share of the total cost. You don't want to put yourself into a bad spot by spending more than you can afford on the cruise because of the unexpected.
