wishes firework cruise

Anyone ever done this? give me any details. I am very curious about it. Thanks

We are going on this cruise in October. Pricing varies depending on the Boat and number of passengers. Disney offers bagged snacks (pretzles, and chips) along with Coke products. The first level offers up to 8 passengers. The second level is up to 10 and they have onboard music from the parks.

We are doing the cruise the same night as MNSSHP, and Disney advised that the fireworks are a perk, not a guarantee.

Also for about 20$ they will decorate the boat for a special occasion. In my case, my DD's first b-day!!!

I'll provide you with an update in Oct.

I just realized that you didn't specify if this was a Grand Gatherings event. If not, don't pay attention to what I just typed!!

We did the cruise in 2005 and 2008. In 2005, we loved it. This past cruise was a little disappointing for us, BUT we had the 2005 cruise to compare it to. If this had been our first time, we would have really loved it.

Here is the rundown:

You will go to the Contemporary and congregate in a waiting area with couches and benches. When the time comes, you will go into a smaller room to meet the characters and eat some snacks. The snacks were packaged things like popcorn, granola bars, doughnuts, and chips. There was also fruit and lots of drinks. Then Mr. Smee and Captain Hook will come out for pictures. It goes by pretty quickly, but everyone had a chance to see both of them. The groups will be divided into Mr. Smee's boat and Captain Hook's boat. You will go with your group to the pier and get on your boat. The boats hold about 50 people, I guess. Your captain will be a pirate and they tell stories and joke around with the guests. You will watch the Electric Water Parade (AWESOME) and the boat will stop for the Wishes fireworks over Magic Kingdom. The music is piped into the boats, so you can hear it loud and clear. It is pretty amazing, to say the least. After the fireworks, the boats will head back to the pier to meet Peter Pan. The whole thing will last about 2 hours, I think.

It is well worth the money to attend this. Let me know if you have any more questions!!

Not sure which cruise that you are describing, I called 407-WDW-Tour, and they set me up with a private boat for me and 7 other people. Your trip sounds like a lot more fun. How did you book it?

We had a group of 12 (needs to be 8 or more for a Grand Gathering) and this is one of the experiences that you can do. Sorry if it wasn't what you were asking about!!:)

The Grand Gatherings fireworks voyage is awful in my opinion. Not at all worth the money paid for it. We did it on August 16th. It was a good way to watch the fireworks, but to me, $50 for a bag of cotton candy, a brownie, a tiny bag of peanuts and a coke then a boat ride to watch isnt worth it. I know its hard to find a good place in the MK to see them, but I think next time I will take my chances. There is, however, a place where you can get the boat ride to watch the fireworks with your group of 8 or more privately. But the grand gatherings one is terrible.

Thanks. It sounds like I should just keep my Holo-Wishes fireworks booking, as it's about the same experience, except it's a private boat.

Ok, so I am confused :confused3 The grand gathering is the boat with 50 people? I want to know if you need reservations for this? Do you just show up at the Contemp? What time? How much is it? Anyone with any more info? Thanks so much!
