Hi,

Does anyone have info on the Wishes DP...pricing, menu's, location, etc.? Is it less then an Epcot DP?

Thanks,

Wishes DPs happen either at Sago Cay or the Marina.

Sago Cay has an F&B min of $500. It is another $500 to have the music piped in.

I'd imagine that it would be cheaper only because you wouldn't pay any viewing fees like you would with an illuminations or fantasmic DP so that's a plus!

Here's my BEO cut from our Wishes DP. We did have the music piped in. And we tweaked the menu just a bit from the "A Kiss Goodnight" offered (easy to do).

This does not include the little wine-glass lamp shades we had made for table decoration.

Ours was at Sago Cay Pointe

This stuff...the stuff in the glass...you HAVE to have! It's the Warm White Chocolate with Amaretto Shot. Amazing.

But everything else was good, too.

It was a nice end to our Wedding Day. We did have an IllumiNation welcome dinner, so I have to admit I would've had a hard time picking between there and here if I had to choose one.

BUT...in retrospect, this one was near the rest of the wedding events, so it was low-key, an people just wandered up after their siesta (or whatever). No bus, no viewing fee, no attendants to guide people in and out of Epcot, etc. So, yes, I think the costs are drastically lower, even if you have the music piped in. There is a less expensive menus, too, but I'm sure you could even customize it

Bear in mind these are over a year old.

On the flip side, people are still raving about the IllumiNations welcome dinner. But, since we did it FIRST (the night before the wedding), people weren't as worn out as they would be after a long wedding day.

I hope that helps.

Looks amazing...I really want to do an Epcot DP but I think it would put us over our budget, we are still debating and trying to get an idea of what each would cost...

I can't decide if i want to have DP at Sago Cay or on the Grand 1. Any suggestions? Which do you think will have better photo opportunities. Since we are having such a small group. I am afraid I wont meet the F&B min for Sago Cay.

I had 8 people at my SCP DP. We met the F&B minimum by adding the All about Mickey centrepieces. I think the photos you'll get from each will be of similar standard. Looking back I wish i'd gone for the Grand 1 rather than a DP.

I'm still on the fence...

Does anyone know how much a Disney Photographer would be for a DP in Epcot?

Thanks,

I believe it is $325 for the DP photography.

That's not too bad at all!!! Definitely doable...my hubby said yes to the DP so we are justing trying to decide which would be more cost effective a Wishes DP or Epcot DP...

I would love to see some photos from Grand 1 if anyone has any :)

Why is that? I still can't decide! :scared1:

Hi - I was recently told the current price is $350 for 1 Photographer for 1.5 hours. This includes a proof book, the pictures will be loaded on a website for your guest to view and you will get 30-50 loose keepsake 4x6 prints.

But, if you plan to purchase the CD of your DP photos, that will be an additional $750!

Good luck with your decision!

Well we hardly ate any of the food we were all still full from the reception. I think the Grand 1 would have had a bigger impact on people rather just an area outside the hotel. And because of the small group it didn't really feel like a party where as you'd get a more intimate feeling on the boat.

I think a Wishes would be most economical. You would have to pay a viewing fee for a Epcot DP where with Wishes you're either at Sago Cay or the Marina.

You are right Claire, that's why I can't decide. But the Grand 1 seems small...most of the room is inside...that's the only reason why I was going towards Sago Cay. But the food and beverage min still scares me for a small group. I was told that decors can't count towards it. $500 for dessert for a small group! that's a lot of desserts we will be eating! :rotfl2:
