Wishes dessert party plaza view question

We're considering doing the Wishes dessert party with the plaza view. From what I can gather, reservations for that have to be made on the same day at the Tomorrowland Terrace. We'll be at WDW from December 10-17 and were planning to go to AK on Monday, the 12th, and then go to MK for Wishes after AK closes at 7, so we wouldn't be able to make our reservation until a couple hours before it starts. Does anyone have any experience trying to get the dessert party plaza view that late in the day? Would there be a chance of any availability? Does it tend to sell out early? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You can prebook it just like the terrace party. I have a reservation for 11/30 already booked.

I had checked that out before, but it's only showing dates for MVMCP. I wanted to do it on a non-party night, since we're not doing MVMCP. I assume it's available on non-party nights?

You can definitely book in advance. I booked ours in advance online. We attended the Oct 1 Plaza Viewing dessert party.

Thanks for the replies. I don't know how I was so chronologically challenged that I mixed up party dates and non-party dates, but I managed to. Thanks to Meeko5 for the link and to tink too for getting me back on track with the dates. I just booked it for December 12, apparently with an annual pass discount as a bonus. I appreciate the assistance.
