When you make the reservation, does Disney charge your credit card right away? And what happens if you need to cancel the reservation? I'm sure the answer is out there somewhere. Just can't find it! Thanks!!!

I think they use the credit card to hold the reservation. They only charge $10/person fee if you fail to cancel the day before, but policies vary depending on the restaurant. That particular info should be in the confirm email they send you. More here...

For certain events, including the Wishes desert party, they charge you the full amount up front. I believe this party has a 48-hour cancellation policy. As long as you cancel in time, you'll receive a full refund.

They do charge your credit card at time of reservation, though. When the window first opened there was a Disney technology glitch and the result was that several people had multiple pending charges on their credit card for the reservation, but it was resolved within a few days.

The glitch happened to me. All fixed. You for sure get charged just like for HDD and SOA.

Yep, I was also charged when I made it and was told that this reservation, unlike most ADR's has a 48 hour cancellation window.

That must be new. Last year it was 5 days.
