the latest i've heard is that the CMs taking ADR calls expect the Wishes Dessert Party to make a comeback this spring...

anyone heard any further details - like WHEN this spring?? technically, we're only 5 days away!

I call once per week for our May trip and I'm told they don't have a schedule yet. I'm tempted to think they may bring back the Dessert Party for the Summer Spectacular in early June.

What exactly was the Dessert Party? Was it something say two could enjoy or was it for larger parties only?

absolutely 2 could enjoy it...or 3, or 10! my wife and 8-month old daughter went in DEC and loved it. and i saw groups of all sizes there.

it's a big dessert buffet that's hosted at the Tomorrowland Noodle Terrace in the MK. they set up tables over there where you can sit and eat dessert to your heart's content - and then enjoy your non-crowded view of Wishes...it's very nice...

Ok...now we're talking!! I have a "solo" trip planned for October and this would be right up my alley. My husband will be soooo jealous! :lmao: Let's hope it comes back!

Sorry; one more question. Are ADR's necessary?

We did the Dessert Party last year and will definately do it again this summer if they bring it back, if only for a relaxed space to see Wishes (of course with benefits)

From memory it was around $17 / $18 each.

I seem to remeber it was a bit of a free for all for the desserts at the beginning but they replaced them as quick as they were taken but maybe not such a great selection after the first display.

Anyway would love to hear if they do bring it back.

I thought it was good not great. I would do it one time but I wouldn't go back again just my opinion.

Another solo looking forward to it in October. I think ADRs are a good idea, but not too far in advance (although maybe the word's out now, so it will be lots more popular).

Fingers crossed for our May trip! This is something that we really want to try :goodvibes

We typically do not stay for fireworks because of the crowds. I'm hoping that this will be available for us!

yes - ADR's are required, i believe...my guess is that each party sells out eventually, so you'd want to have them for that reason anyway. but when you arrive at the party, they have your name on the list and they actually escort you to a table that's been 'reserved' with your name on it...

as far as quantity and selection, we thought that both were great. they basically had 2 buffets set up with the same selections on each side (so 4 lines could be served simultaneously). if i had to guess, i'd say that there were probably 20 or so different kinds of dessert selections. and as someone else mentioned, there were plenty of CMs there replenishing as the buffet got low. an experience that was definitely worth the $23pp in my opinion....
