My son will be turning 8 during this trip and I have booked the dessert party to celebrate his birthday. We plan to bring a candle and light up a cupcake and sing happy birhtday. Is this allowed?

Also, I did not let the CM know that we were celebrating a birthday and I was wondering if I did would it make a difference? Would the CM do something special for our son? If so what do they normally do? Is it worth it to call again.

Thanks

Being that the whole event itself is special, they may not do anything extra. But of course we all know what Disney is like, so it never hurts to mention it! It is definitely worth a phone call. I surprised my husband with a WDP on our honeymoon - the CMs were all in on it that he didnt know about it. It was great! We had confetti on our table and were given the best table in the house - front and center right smack in front of the castle. So, you never know! Definitely bring a candle with you - you can always ask when you get there if it is alright to put it on a cupcake. I really don't see it being a problem. Have a great time and have some of the donut holes - OMG divine!
