Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread December 1-29 2012 Now Open!

We had a front row table for two Sunday night. People went to the rail for the castle pre-show and blocked the view, but the fireworks were perfect. We stayed seated and loved it. Tink could have kicked us in the head!

I'll do it again in a heartbeat. Not having to contend with someone's foot under my butt while I wait on the curb is priceless.

Thanks for responding about my rail question. I will have our 26m old daughter (by the time we go) with us, and since Wishes will probably be at 8pm, I think we are going to try the party. I suppose I have quite a wait to book for December. Judging my the responses on this thread, it won;t be till probably October. Oh well!! See who ever is left on this thread when I rejoin later this year. ;)

Forgive me if this has been mentioned already, but can you no longer book the dessert party online? I just went to the reservations section of the WDW website, and no longer see it listed. TIA!

Go to the above link, click on Dining Events on the left hand side and the list of Dining Events will show up, the Party is the 4th and last one listed.

I haven't checked if it's even available for my dates yet, but I'm going back and forth between the dessert party and the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage. Has anyone here done both of these? I know the cruise is more expensive, but I'm just considering both.

We have done both! It was nice to experience both views of the fireworks but I would choose the Dessert Party again in a heart beat! And so would my 6 year old daughter. We did Pirates and pals last April (easter break). My daughter dud Pirates League earlier in the day and was very excited about the cruise. At the last minute a thunderstorm rolled through the area andwe weren't cleared early enough for departure over the water and missed about the first 2 minutes of Wishes. It was nice seeing the fireworks from the biat but much prefer being close up at the Terrace where you can be kicked by Tink. :goodvibes also the snacks at Pirates and Pals are yummy (all prepackaged cookies, granola bars, brownies, popcorn, cotton candy) but the dessert party treats are by far more scrumptious!

We've been more than a few times....stayed sitting all except the last time, where we were seated next to the podium check in. Perfect place to watch the fireworks...but pricey...they keep raising the prices...it was $17 the first time we went.

I did this back in October and I can remember the stress of waiting for the dates to open up.... for some reason I didn't stop my subscription to this thread. Perhaps deep down I knew we'd be coming back? ;)

& here I am ready to put myself through it again - I'm waiting on september.

I waited for October too and then we had to postpone our trip to March so here I am again

Sorry newbie question. I've been searchig all the threads and I still feel a bit confused.

Can I not make reservations yet for May? Or are they really already booked up?

Kathy is correct we are hopeing and waiting for them to release booking dates for March.......which could be any day now based on the past but it is anyones guess. I would say possibly early March you might see them load May dates into the system

Happy Waiting!

So Feb or March for June dates?

More than likely not until April for June dates going by past dates being loaded into the system for booking

I just checked and July 2011 became bookable on 4/21 so maybe end of March for June ......I did not start tracking the dates until June

Just to add on, we had a great table last year, but not such a great view once everyone lined up in front of us. I was able to move my chair around to see. I had to stay sitting since our youngest daughter passed out exactly two minutes before the fire works started. :rotfl2:

When were there - there were only 3 tables with a great spot because they were up against the railing. We booked early and ended up with one of these tables. It was one of the first three on the right hand side as you enter. We did not have to stand and there was no possible way for anybody to block our view. It was great!

Everybody else had a good 5-10 feet between their "front row" table and the rail and they all ended up with people standing in front of them.

Sounds wonderful I would love to be so lucky and get a table at the railing.

Does anybody know why they only put a month or two at a time into the system? Everything else can be booked 180 days in advance. Seems not very customerfriendly.

As I remember, this buffet has been around for quite a while, so I don't think it's still in trial mode, where they would have to decide if they should continue it.

Brandis, that is a good question and one I would like to know to, also. It's 49 days until we are there and still the month has not opened up. Kinda takes the "magic" out of it all when you feel you have to constantly check online to see if the month has been opened.

I probably do not want to know how much of my time has been used checking on these darn reservations.:surfweb:
