I had a feeling they would release the December reservations today, since it is the first Tuesday (DD loves Tuesday for some reason) in October. I stayed up until well after 4am PST (AKA 7am EST). They were not online as of then. Just checked again and got a reservation for 4 on 12/05/11.

Aw, you're welcome. I was panicking, signing up for reservations, and getting another tab loaded with this DIS thread - so many of us needed December! I, too, checked this morning, and nothing.

My Dec. 19th reservation was my LAST one to make...as I am sure it is for so many of us. I checked earlier and they weren't open yet. So I thought... Gee today is my 25th Wedding Anniversary and this December trip is how we are celebrating it...it would be so Disney Magic if reservations opened today!

Called on a whim this afternoon without checking the thread and I got my resevervation booked! Wohoo!!!

Dec. 23rd - our last night - for my husband and my three kids!!

With wishes at 10pm do you think that is enough time? Will all the desserts be gone from the earlier people. over $100 is a lot for 1 hour.

I'm pretty sure the reservations start at 9 pm for a 10 pm showing of Wishes. That was the impression I was under. I got a 9 pm reservation on the 23rd too!

I jsut called and that was waht I was also told. I just thought they had earlier reservations since the drop down menu went as early as 7:30pm.

The Party opens 1 hour before Wishes starts - so if Wishes is at 10 the party starts at 9. Usually people line up earlier than that for check-in - I believe some ppl say line-up 30 minutes prior I did this last year (in September) and there was plenty of food for everyone (however the event was not sold-out). They also let us stay a little while after Wishes was over and they kept the desserts out for us to enjoy. Hope this helps.

Of course the 30th and 31st are still blacked out. I went through this trying to book through the July 4th fireworks (on the 3rd) -- should not even be surprised! LOL!

My nutty friends want to do the NYE fireworks on the 30th, I don't think they have half a clue what a hassle these darned dining reservations are!

I checked this morning, too, and Dec dates weren't there, but checked on a whim this afternoon when I was making other adr's. I freaked out when it gave me a time! Had to run through the house to get the credit card!

One question: a CM on the dining res # told me that they don't assign tables based on when the ressie was made. She said it's first come first served at the check-in podium. Anyone know if this is true?
