Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread December 1-29 2012 Now Open!

I know that we have gone over how to manually type dates into the ADR site, but I'm having no luck for Friday August 26th or Sunday August 28th. Anyone able to make ADRs for wishes on either of these dates? The website says it's not being offered. Thank you SOOOO much

I made a reservation for the 26th the first day that August opened up. Have you tried calling? I guess it could be sold out but I would call if I were you.

Hmmmm I was just on the WDW site looking (hoping) to see if October dates have been released yet. Just for fun, I tried putting manually in my birthday (Sept 7). This is what I got "The dining event is not currently scheduled to take place on the date selected. However, it may be scheduled to take place on this date in the coming months. Please check back later or select another date".

yeah I've been getting that everytime I've checked. I keep hoping that I'll put dates in manually for october and it'll say something different. No such luck. I'm starting to agree with pp, I don't think there are going to be any DPs in sept/oct - I'm getting impatient, so it could just be me being negative

The only other thing that I have found that is similar to the Dessert Party is Illuminations Dinner Dessert Reception... but that's only for Grand Gatherings I believe.

Anyone can do an Illuminations dessert party, however they do require a bit more work (and money) than the Wishes dessert party. However an Illuminations party is usually private so you wouldn't be fighting strangers for viewing space. A fellow Disser has a blog where she wrote about planning an Illuminations dessert party a couple of years ago. You can read about it here:

The pricing is out of date but it at least gives you someplace to start if it's something you consider doing.

WDW-DINE told me yesterday it could be mid- to late-month before they release the Sept dates! I hope she was wrong!

I don't care if it's mid to late month in August for Sept dates, as long as they are still having it then!! I decided a couple of years ago that I would take each one of my granddaughters to Disney World, just the two of us, when they turn 9 and this is the year for my second grandchild. I did the Pirate & Pals cruise with the oldest one 2 years ago and I just was not that impressed. I want to do the dessert party this time with the next girl, but I'm beginnig to think it might not be continued. It'd be nice to have plans made and all in order way ahead of time, but I think I've given up on that. So even if they open it up for Sept the last week of August, I'd be good with it!!!

This is just driving me NUTS!! I wish they would either release September or say that there isn't going to be a Dessert Party! I am tired of checking everyday!!! We have done it a few times and LOVE it!! On this trip there will be 8 of us and we have half of them who have not done it....I would love for them to experience it!

Just wanted to add my thanks to the wonderful DIS'er who first suggested we try manually entering our dates online using the "08" for August... it worked, and we now have ADRs for Wishes on August 14! Its a surprise for DH, DS5 and DS7, so y'all are the only ones I can share my happiness with!

The waiting is the hardest part!!! All of our ADRs are set, just waiting for October dates so we may book our last ADR.

Yep I'll be happy with Illuminations dessert party as long as I don't have to pay for the whole thing.

In mean time, I'll just have to wait for Wishes Dessert Party to open up for Sept. Common Disney, you need to open up soon~~~
