I can't even believe they opened it up all the way through March.
That really will catch people off guard!
If they are doing it like regular reservations now it will be easier to plan in the future though. Because you know there's always another trip somewhere down the line.

Ok so I just booked for January yay!! There was no time options which I thought was strange. Thus i called and the rep told me there is only 1 a day to coincide with fireworks. Is this true? I think I trust the Disboard info more than the reservationist...lol

Just wondering. Does anyone know, if the park closes due to reaching capacity (typically happens on 12/25 when I booked our wishes desert party) will I still be able to get in to get to the wishes desert party I just paid for??? Maybe I should change it

I had a bad experience last year, we booked when it just so happened the very merry christmas party on the same date (member services did not tell me this when I reserved over the phone) and disney cast members would NOT let us into the park without a ticket to the party. So now I am a little nervous about not being let in!

There are stages of closure, so it depends on which stage is reached. I think all the way through stage 3, they still let in people with ADRs (I THINK), but yes, it is possible you could not be let in. If it were me, and I paid in advance, I would go to MK in the AM and I wouldn't leave.

Totally agree.
Here's a little fun fact. I used to think it was ridiculously overpriced to pay for a few desserts and a spot to watch Wishes. Until I realized that in 8 trips we have NEVER, not one time, stayed for the fireworks because we hate being stuck in a crowd trying to get out. Sure we've watched part of them on buses back to the resort, or from the ferry dock. But I've never been up close, heard all the music and just enjoyed it with my kids from start to finish.
This will be so nice. I've totally changed my opinion of the party. Just to be able to relax with my family.. it's worth the price.

Exactly my thoughts we have in the past staked out a spot up to 2 hours ahead only to be in the mass of guests squished and pushing to see better.

We loved the party and enjoyed the Fireworks so much more
