So I booked for the 9:00 time (the other choice was 9:15.) Does anyone know the big difference between the 2? I'm assuming its to spread out the times people are starting at the buffet????

Hmm didn't realize they charge you the full amount now. thought it was a credit card guarantee...not sure if we are doing it or not.
$150 for 5 people? hmmm.

I paid $127.75 for five people on 8/21. Does the price change throughout the month?

Thank you so much for keeping this thread updated! Just booked for August 19th. We have an early dinner reserved at Be Our Guest and then the dessert party at 9! :cool1:
My girls are gonna flip! :dance3:

IT'S OPEN!!!!!!!!

:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

I just booked for 8/30 and can't wait to go--first time our family is doing this!

Booked for 8/30/13. I can't wait. It will be a nice ending to our trip!
:cool1::cool1:

We're ending our trip this way on the 30th too! :cool1:

Making this reservation was a nightmare! Online wouldn't work, 1st call went to the wrong department (?!?!) and when transferred to the right department the CM said it wasn't open and wouldn't check again. 2nd call was a 15 minute wait and the CM disconnected the call almost immediately. 3rd call was a 10 minute wait and then it went straight to the survey for how my call was without me ever talking to a CM. 4th call the CM said it was open but already booked solid. :eek: I told her about the last 3 calls and she did some digging and realized it wasn't full yet. So we'll be there!! :woohoo:

Now we're PIF with all of our ADRs finished. Ready for this vaca to begin!

This is/was the absolute last reservation and detail I had to wrap up for our vacation. This thread was so key to not only learning about this party but also subscribing and watching my email/DISBoards daily waiting for August to open. I thought for certain it wasn't going to open today after calling this morning and hearing the CM say that nothing was available yet.

Thanks to all for updating this thread, checking the ADR website.

I just made a reservation for August 20th, and noticed in my confirmation email that it said that my reservation occurs during a special event which requires a separate admission ticket.Does anyone know what this might be? The calendar on the Disney website says that park hours are until 11pm that night so I am a little confused as to what it could be. Any help would be great!! Thank you!

I've got reservations on the 8/15 & 8/19. The "special" you're referring to is that nexxt to the time of the reservation within the email? For instance, both confirmations say 9:00 PM - Special

Yes it says that and then down below it has an exclamation point graphic which says " your reservation occurs during a special event which requires a separate admission ticket for park entry. Please make sure all members of your dining party hold tickets for this event."

Hopefully this is nothing because this is the only day we can do the dessert party :(

I knew it was going to open AFTER I left to go to work!

Oh well, I still was able to get a 9pm for 8/13! :banana:

If you are staying at a WDW resort, the concierge will provide these for you. However, you must have a ticket/pass to get into MK the date of the event...

Ok so by that they just mean a regular admission ticket? Or another ticket on top of our park admission? They way they worded that is confusing me...

Thanks to this board I just got 4 reservations for 8/31 at 9! Yay! We're all set now, and all I need to do is sit back and relax until it's time to leave.

As I recall...the concierge gave us a paper printout to give them at the party entrance...

Holy cow! FINALLY!

Booked 8/16 for 4 (2 adults, 2 kids), our total was $91.56.

So glad all us August people can finally stop obsessing!!!

:banana::cheer2:

Usually, you just have to have a regular park ticket for the day of the dessert party. (The exception is if you are going to be there on a night that has a special hard-ticketed event, like MNSSHP or MVMCP.) As long as you have a ticket to get into MK that day, you will be fine.

We've never gotten anything from the concierge or anywhere else for the party. We've never had to present anything to get into the party, either. Just gave them our names (and of course I had my confirmation number just in case, but I didn't need it.)

Have they started requiring actual tickets??
