Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread # 2 - September 2013 OPEN!!!

You know what would have been REALLY COOL??? If Disney, as part of their 24 hour celebration today, would have opened up August for those of us that can't be there to celebrate the 24 hours of magic!!! Now THAT would have been awesome!! You know, spread the pixie dust around!! Oh, but no, we are still waiting, aren't we???

Obviously this is a minor inconvenience to us, knowing that people in Oklahoma are dealing with the loss of everything they had. I just can't even imagine it all.

That would be really cool and I could stop stalking!

How very odd...I just refreshed the Dessert Party Reservation Page before trying again...and AM and PM are in Chinese Characters. The rest of the page looks fine...

Maybe its a sign!!!! Maybe the Chinese characters spell out "August opening this afternoon!!!"

Yesterday morning I was trying to check this on my phone and I thought August had opened. I had selected 8/24 and it gave me availability (I thought) so I booked. Then on the confirmation page I noticed I had purchased 3 tickets for 5/23. Doh.

Anyway, I immediately called and they were able to refund me. Apparently the calendar on my phone had reset itself. Lesson: don't try to buy tickets on your phone.

But, I thought it was interesting that there was same day availability! Makes me a little less nervous about this selling out!

I think it depends on crowd levels, special events (like around a holiday, etc.). An earlier poster said there were still slots for the day Of the Party they mistakenly looked at.

I got the Chinese characters one day too! It seems there's no end to the glitches on the new website.

Well, my dear friends, my comrades in seeking an August Dessert Party date, we have been thwarted once again!!! August is STILL not open. Just for fun, I put in a date of July 23rd, you know, just so I could test my system to see if it actually WORKED??? Well, it DID work and there was actually an OPENING for the Dessert Party on July 23rd!! Too bad I don't get to Orlando until July 31st!!!! BUT, at least I know that my computer works and that it IS capable of making Dessert Party Reservations when they do truly become available for August.

Don't give up hope!! I have seen reports of people actually walking up the night OF the party and getting in. I'm sure that's not the norm, but it happens. Keep trying online or by calling. You never know when something may come up. Best of luck to you!!!
