I have been to the party 3x, I wasn't going to book it for this trip, but when I told DH and DS (13) that I am thinking of skipping the Dessert Party I was met by "What?" "oh, but we love it"......

So now we are looking to book it for our August date. My first date is for 8/13. But I could do 8/14 or even 8/15 if need be.

I just booked June 26!!! Who knew June would open up so early!! I'm glad I happened to check on the DIS before walking out of my office. All that's left to do now is pay off my trip and then it's on!!

Wonder why just one week prior it is so much cheaper? Weird. Must be when the "official" summer season starts? Like I said, ours was $78.78 for two adults and two kids!

I saw your post and called to ask how much mine was per adult and child because i thought it was high, but thats what the CM said. I guess you are right... Official summer season starts...

That is our tenth and final night as well. This will be our first dessert party. I will try to make sure to have my lime green Mickey visible. It will just be my DD14 and me.

I've read that you get pre-assigned tables but does anyone know how that works? June opened up today and I reserved my reservation for June 25th earlier today for 4. So should I "assume" we will get a "good" table? And do the tables even matter? My fear is my DD6 having some grown mad standing in front of her and she can't see anything (had this done before at another event, so rude!).

Same! We were booked at POR but when the discount came out I upgraded to Contemporary, not telling my wife though. Should be a great surprise for her when we get there. We'll be there Aug 1-8

For the most part, tables don't really matter. For the hour before Wishes, you eat. Before Wishes starts, people will inevitably start getting spots by the rail to view wishes. For the people in the back tables and where the over hang is, they usually want to move forward to the rail. Those in the front tables, will usually stand because of the people standing in front of their tables - their not being rude by doing that, that's just were people stand for Wishes. Very few claim they stayed in their tables to view Wishes, and even fewer with kids.

If your concerned about your DD's view make sure you go over to the rail sooner rather than later. There is plenty of room for everyone, but if you want to ensure your daughter is not standing behind anyone, be aware of when people start lining up and go get a spot on the rail.

Awesome surprise. we were going to be at POFQ, but when I heard about the discount, and added a couple nights offsite for a day at Sea World before heading to WDW, couldn't pass up the great deal. DH saw pics and video of a deluxe room (more space) and decided it was better than the Poly that I was going to upgrade to originally...So, CR it is. maybe we'll see you around.

That is awesome, great minds think alike! Sounds like you guys are going to have a great trip. We've always talked about staying at CR, so this just worked out perfect. We'll keep an eye out for you, we'll have our pins on.

Got in for June 19, they noted on the res its my daughter's 10th B-Day so hopefully we'll get a good table!
