Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This place makes me look like Disney genius to my friends and family. I managed to snag a 9pm reservation June 8th. So happy! My co worker and I are going to Disney on a work conference, but we both love Disney so are extending for a few days...

Well I visit these boards often but was never aware that if you subscribe to a thread and receive an email you then have to revisit the forum before you will receive another email notification.

It just so happened that I received the #1647 post at 9:36am yesterday. The one right before the notification that June was open. Today, I just happened to check the forum on my own and see that I am 26 hours late to the party.

Buyer beware. If you subscribe to this thread beware of the fine print "There may also be other replies, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the forum again."

Fortunately, I was still able to get my date. But since first come gets tables nearer to the front, I suspect I will be back a bit more than I was planning for.

Subscribing and hoping that they speed up with opening reservations now that June came online so fast :-)

Waiting for September 2nd.....pixiedust:

I am so glad I checked these boards today!!! Res for 2 on June 6th!!!:cool1:

Question: if you want a good seat do you have to get their early? or are seats reserved ahead of time with your time?

We have done the dessert party twice in past years........they walk you to your tables. so they are pre-assigned! otherwise there would be a stampede! LOL

Hi friends! I was so bummed yesterday when I logged on. Friday was a crazy day for us. I'm a teacher, so I can't be online at all during the day. I have been stalking the DIS incessantly every chance I can, however, Friday after school we went straight to do our taxes and then right back home to prepare for a Yard Sale on Saturday. When I logged in Saturday after the sale I was SHOCKED to see that June had opened up! I hurriedly logged on and our date (June 9) was still open, however, only 9:15 which meant most of the front row tables were probably gone. I stopped and thought for a minute and realized I was being selfish. We've been to the DDP 4 times, and there are others on here who try and try and hope to get to go for their first time, so we decided to skip it this time so someone else could have the experience. I am so excited for those of you who are getting your dates. It's wonderful fun, and you're going to have a MAGICAL time pixiedust:

Eeeek! This makes me a little bit worried about our ADR time of 9:15. When I booked on Friday, both 9:00 and 9:15 were available, but I chose 9:15 thinking that less wait before fireworks would be preferable for my DD8--- banking on the fact that I got the ADR so quickly would put us in the front row.

Can someone LMK if it's the 9:00 ADR that gets you front row or if it's the order of the bookings that gets the front row (i.e. first booked gets "best" table, second booked gets next, etc)? Or does it even matter, as I understand most people will stand? (Oh, how nice it'd be to be able to sit after a long day at the park...!)

Thanks, all! This board has been SO helpful in planning our first WDW trip! :flower3:

From what we learned it is the order of booking which decides about the row of tables which is assigned. The earlier you book the more likely it is that you get a front row table.
Anyway as soon as the fireworks start most people will stand up and move to the railing and may block the view even from a front row table seat and you will need to stand up.

The ADR time which you choose has nothing to do with the real time when you can join the party. The party starts one hour before wishes and people begin lining up about 30 minutes before that time.

Booked and very excited! It will be our first visit to WDW and the dessert party. :goodvibes Our reservation time is 9:05...which was a little weird, I thought since I mainly see reservations for 9:00 or 9:15. No worries though! We will be eating some yummy desserts and watching great fireworks! Price per adult was $27.99 for this day.

I plan on trying to get the dessert party for July 4th. But I was just thinking. I heard that the fourth fireworks take place all around you. Are you able to see the fireworks behind you if you are at the dessert party terrace?

Yes, it's WHEN you book, not the time you get, however, because the only option when I tried to book was 9:15 I figured that meant we weren't in the first group of bookings. Since you had the option, you're probably good. Of our 4 times, 3 were in the front row, and we stayed at our table and could see beautifully (even with people standing at the railing.) If you're under the roof (3rd row back and further,) you won't be able to see everything unless you go to the railing. Have fun! It really is a BLAST :goodvibes

No, however, you can't on Main St either because of the train station, buildings, etc... The fireworks (from what I remember) aren't exactly 360. They're more like 180ish (maybe a little more.) It really is SPECTACULAR! Being at the dessert party on July 4 is the best!

Ok so new to the dessert party.. Do you book by calling in 90 or 60 days ahead & how much is it with tax? You pay at time of books correct? Sorry if this has been asked a million times.
